Guilt. What is guilt. Ethnical, moral, religious, so on. Discuss what "guilt" actually means in our society.
I have to write an essay for R.E. about this topic, and I have to hand it in tomorrow, so get some thoughts in here fast, please. :<

Guilt is where you know you've done something you shouldn't of to someone, or stolen from a friend, and stuff like that.

In other words "guilt" is more of a feeling or an emotion, or maybe a concience.

Guilt?
I haven't a clue what it is.
It's that feeling you get when you know you've done something wrong. Sometimes it's like anxiety.
It's when you feel you've done wrong towards somebody, or made a wrong decision.

I get guilt alot, about things that have happened years ago.
I'd say it's more to do with Morals.
You know the right thing to do, but do the wrong thing. Thus, making you feel guilty.

That's just my thought, as i said. I haven't got a clue what it is, i don't understand any emotions. Nobody does, everybody just has an idea on it.

I think it is probably your subconscious trying to tell you that you ****ed up. When ever I feel guilty, it is like depression of your mind. It can hurt you as well.

Maybe chemicals or something like that are released in you brain?

When you have done something socially unacceptable, or harmful to one's being, it makes you worry about what you have lost.

Guilt?

Guilt is empathy and regret sort of mixed together.

My definition for guilt: The effect on your conscience when you have done something against your morals or virtues.

Yes, that means that you can’t feel guilty if you don’t think killing is wrong.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I think and also what I wrote in that essay. You can't feel guilty if you don't think you've done something that you should feel guilty for.

guilt is pretty much stress and a second thought about something you did and you feel that you souldn't have done, and is the sense of responsibility somtimes.

Contravening against what you learned is right. What the society thinks is right. Mainly what ancistors have ceded to the younger generations and government has decided (law, rules).

Guilt is a sort of negative reenforcement that your brain uses to train itself. Guilt is a message to yourself that you shouldn't do that action. It's like training a dog: if it does something right, you give it a treat, which in our case is being happy or being content. If the dog does something bad, you tell it bad dog, which is guilt in our case, except we train ourself.
