Many times I have felt like i should leave this community because honestly if I did it would be a load off! Every time I go on irc or on the forum i feel like soothing is expected of me and honestly I do not know why however i just can't leave :I even though its such a struggle to juggle my social life college and this all at the same time.

This thread is not to moan i just wanna hear everyones reasons for being hear and why did they join the community.

I joined as a very depressed teen when I was aged 12 (I'm 19 now) school wasn't going so well for me and I didn't fully know how to communicate with others when i started animating the was the first thing I was actually praised for since I always got bad grades and I didn't really stand out. When i was 13 a friend then recommended me to started posting animations on stickpageportal and thats how i entered the community. But now my social life is cool and in college I am kinda like the star child the one they expect to get high grades so for once i feel significant so obviously i work my ass of in college yet still i always end up here... making animations which won't earn me anything but street cred...And I don't really know why :/

haha sorry for not clarifying I mean as in what drives you to interact with the community and what you gain from it if it is simple pleasure from speaking with people about what you like to do or whatever xD.

I guess I'm here because I want to be challenged to do better. I've made a lot of progress animation-wise in the last four months, and it's because of stuff like competitions or clan tryouts that push me to do well.

I'm here because of my brother, he had this animation program on his dsi, I messed around with it and I just adored it.A few months later I found StickPage, and found out there are people using flash to animate sticks, and so yeah, I was all aboard for it.

I joined FA because of some of the wRHG battles I read there. I preceded to join one of the three written clans, and from there, met (not in person, online) and became friends with everyone in it, along with a few others. So yeah, wRHG and the FA writer's community (with the additions we got on RHW), assuming the rest will come.

Oddly enough, before wRHG, I wasn't into writing. At all. Before I joined, I wrote a grand total of ONE for fun story.

I come back every year or so because i said i would. But also, i've made friends here. I want to keep them.

i dont remember why i came on in the first place -- i think it was because the pivot community was cool
as for now i come back on every month or so when there's absolutely nothing for me to do when im at home
