I'm bumping this thread for a couple reasons. Well- the first one isn't really a reason, but... guys- Dante fought a hamster. This will now serve as his temporary demo, and can be found by
clicking here.
The second reason is to give you all an update on the status of the character. To put it simply, he's... not going to be around forever, but I wanted to give everyone here a chance to have a story or two told with Dante before it's all said and done, or request to have your character be a part of Dante's little world.
While I reserve the right to decline or alter a request, as well as just... respect the story I'm trying to tell, with Dante in particular there's a lot of room for tangental stories- that clearly have nothing to do with really anything, such as randomly fighting a hamster, that can all manage to coexist and be a part of his actual.. history.
I've been putting this off retiring Dante for a while- years at this point- for that very reason. He's just a guy, really- with an age I try and keep track of, whose injuries I try to keep track of, and who gets to experience the world of wRHG and make it out all the better for it. But... he's getting too old now, he's getting too beat up now, and.. his time's running out. It was bound to happen if I let it.
So... I've made a list- separated into three parts- that together, hopefully, sum up just about everything I still want to do write as Dante.
List 1- Things I'm definitely, 100% doing as a part of this story ending:
A story featuring 2-3 of the organizations from
this page. (N/A - wRHG resource; Approval inherent.)
At LEAST one story where Dante encounters some
familiar faces. (Approved)
Stories wherein Dante develops and matures as a character, and I hopefully do the same as a writer. A bit less cheesy, edgy- "dark" writing. (N/A)
Stories wherein death, violence, and grief are examined and displayed in a realistic/passable manner. (N/A)
Stories wherein sexual themes are examined and displayed in a realistic/passable manner- with the necessary warnings and procedures taken into account. (Yes, I'm of age.)
A full collection of all of Dante's stories.
A happy ending.
List 2- Things I've already decided to write that aren't necessarily crucial to the main story:
VS
Abra the Genocide Magician, because... I mean... genocide... ^_^ (Approved)
A story where Dante does something illegal and has to run from the cops. (N/A - police are probably okay with it)
At least one new wRHG demo to remember him by.
List 3- Things I would jump at the chance to write (for anyone who's interested) before I retire the character:
A tangent story, with your choice of genre (or someone else's, if there's more than one request) in which Dante is an unsuspecting character.
A story about the creation or public viewing of a bizarre pornographic film in which Dante and a character of your own creation are the film's stars.
A story NOT involving anything remotely pornographic in which a character of your own creation makes an appearance.
A tangent story where Dante meets your favorite animated RHG or Dojo Duelist.
A possible villain/rival for Dante.
A team-up story or collab.
Battles! Spars! Conflict!
Just about anything else!
