In your opinion, what is the best Internet browser? I'm hoping to get a feel for the other browsers. Due to google chrome messing up lately.

Google chrome:
Its simple to use and the layout is easy to understand as well as a bunch of features to tweak and edit your browsing experience as you please. Including a wide array of extensions and a new tab page that allows you easy access to all the sites you visit frequently. Although i've noticed the newest version of Chrome has horrible audio choppiness and video lag for anything powered by adobe flash player.

Mozilla Firefox:
This browser seems a little more complex and hard to understand than Google chrome. Although due to the complexity it gives you much more options to tweak and edit everything you do online. I've had firefox for 1 week now. And I am enjoying it. Although the extensions for firefox seem more limited than Chrome. Its still a good choice and I do reccomend it. Also Firefox doesn't have video and audio choppiness.

The situation for me was the exact opposite actually. I used to use Firefox as my Web browser, but after they updated it and added a bucket of new features (like customizing the browser window), I kept noticing page load lags and delay of content being visualized. I switched over to Chrome and all those problems were erased.

I use chrome because it has a lighter interface than firefox. It doesn't lag my comp like hell when it starts.

WTF? the extensions are precisely why I'm using Firefox instead of Chrome. Chrome has the worst extention options ever, you have to fucking trick it into letting you use userscripts and shit. Firefox is famous for having by far the best and most extensions and add-ons. Other than that they're pretty much the same imo, I've used them for over a year at a time each and have switched like thrice. You can actually install an extension for firefox to make the new tab page be the window thing like Chrome's, and change the browser's appearance to whatever you want.

Internet Explorer 10 is actually a pretty good browser. They finally caught up with the HTML5 and CSS3 standards with it, and reduced it's footprint in Windows significantly. As a default option, it's certainly an excellent choice.

Opera is an old favorite of mine, but I haven't used it in a few years. I switched out because it was having some problems with memory usage, and at the time it was behind on support for web standards. That has been rectified in recent builds, though. I don't know how it currently sits with memory usage, but it's certainly a great obscure browser that I suggest people try if they haven't.

Firefox is alright. I use it when my other browsers are fucking up. I don't use it as my primary browser because it too is a huge memory hog. I don't really like Firefox for a number of reasons. Mainly because it is regularly the only browser that fucks up when I'm programming because they aren't always down with web standards, but also because for as long as I can remember people who use the browser primarily are pretentious fuckheads that are usually the first to remind you of what browser they use and why you're stupid for not using the browser they use.

Chrome is the one I use regularly. It is also a piece of shit memory hog, but it provides tools to combat it. Namely, if you press Shift + Esc you'll get a Chrome Task Manager window thing, that lets you see memory usage per-tab. This way you can see which one is being the asshole and end it, bringing your memory usage down. I also like that it sandboxes each tab so that the whole browser doesn't go down if just one tab does. As a developer, as well, the tools chrome provides I can't live without. No other browser matches them, though IE comes closest. Another benefit with Chrome is that it syncs with my new Android phone, and Google already owns my life so it works seamlessly with all their services to provide a nice uniform experience. Extensions with Chrome are also a lot more user friendly than my experiences with Opera or Firefox. The Google store thing makes it easy to find and install plugins, most of the time without browser restart. Advanced users also have access to a lot of under the hood stuff as well, so I can customize my experience as I see fit.

I don't really think any browser is the "best", they are all good for their own reasons, and it's really on the user to figure out which one suits their needs best.

Well I wouldn't take what I had said too seriously. Like I said: I've only been using firefox for a week now... So I haven't done much exploring or tampering with the browser itself.

Lol, I have a Mac, so I have safari, firefox, and google chrome. I go back and forth, but mostly use safari because it seems to be the fastest.

I use firefox mainly because chrome translates every fucking page to my local language. It's cool and all, but I want to read webpages in English. It probably has an option to turn it off, but I cant seem to find it and just resolved to using firefox.
