Since Doomstrange is a bio-engineered machine, he is much faster and stronger than the average human. He is also extremely resistant to conventional weaponry such as blades or gunfire. Also, due to further enhancements to his genetic makeup, he naturally produces a powerful energy known as Doom. Doomstrange can generate this energy at will, though he has much to learn in terms of controlling it properly.

When Seth Rule was a young boy, he got into a fist fight with another child. Before Seth could even land a punch, his father Adrian ran on to the scene, screaming: "Stop! You'll kill him!"
Ever since then, Seth always remembered that he was stronger than other people. But he never questioned it.
However, when a devastating attack destroys Seth’s home, the headquarters of his father’s multibillion dollar research and development facility, Seth finds out that he is much more than capable in a fight.
Seth Rule is Doomstrange--a thinking, breathing, super-powered machine. With his father killed in the attack, the only clues to his origins may remain in wreckage.
