Those days shouldn't be over. Short stories are at the very least five pages long, not one or less...I loved to read battles that reached nine pages on microsoft word. They had build up, climax and ending. Now there's just straight up combat.

Me too. Also, I'm thinking about a "My city". Describe your city. And it can be continuos. Goal: To practice your describing skills.

To practice description skills, it would be better if you described the environment. Wind direction, assumed temperature, shadows and what not. It would help people learn to describe just about everything

Anyway, I'd rather have it go with a short story about a person and surroundings. That way you'd have to concentrate on the story plus his surroundings. You'd also have to be careful as not to overload the work with descriptions.

Oh my lawdy lawdy I'm finally back! So much to do, so much to say. For now if there is but one who cares Ol Necro is back and plans on adding a few chaps. To Sol's story, finishing his entry for the gladiator games, and overall getting his wRHG career started. As for I I kicked finals on the ass, attended my best friend of twelve years graduation up north, and have been getting shiz together. That's my entry for today, peace.

I know they shouldn't. I know he made that place for that purpose, but the lack of any old writer coming here to be active multiplied by the amount of brash noobs has ultimately not been very uplifting. There's only like 3 or 4 of us oldies left.

Still, if its an event you guys want, then I still have a thing or two in store. A Gauntlet (a multi-stage event that'll either be elimination style or point system based like the Tennis Match or both), or an actual organized Tournament that I guarantee will not lose steam. Stay tuned.

We still have Shaq, acute, you, Kyra [in a way], Lobotomizer [did she retire?] and Yun [Yun 's a veteran from FA's Writer's Lounge, if you haven't noticed already.]

Events will keep the lounge alive, not just battles but its a way to get there. If there is a way to get the usual animators to write, let's go.

Shaq is just around but I think he's enjoying his summer or something. Acute is active, I know. You're active. Kyra comes once in a full moon but she's been pretty consistent. Loboto hangs out in the Art section and afaik is in mid-semi retirement. She'll basically only come out under some very special circumstances. I gotta admit, I've never seen Yun write before even when I lurked FA but I don't wanna hold on to hope just because of his recent resurfacing. I know he's also studying, and has expressed his expected inactivity sometime in the future. The only other people who sporadically come are Chrome, homer, loki, and now recently Rochedan.

The only people I've reall seen semi-actice is Rochedan (if I remember correctly, he's in Portugal for a bit)
but the others I haven't heard of... And Yun's from FA? Wow... I thought he was just a decent animator...

He really is from FA, a member of an animating clan 'Nemesis'. I only thought of him as an animator, rather than a writer. Which is why it shooked me when he made a wRHG.

The people I really do miss from FA are homer, Fantomzed, Cavaliere and darkdark. My old clanmates that disappeared. I had hoped that darkdark had made a home here since he was here during the merge, sadly not the case...Cavaliere just didn't like SP I suppose. Has homer visited? I haven't seen anything from him in the original lit or anywhere in the lounge.

Anyways, we have to get the lounge's cogs and gears moving. You have a tournament idea right? Maybe after the SP Mafia you could get it working? I'm always open to help.

Actually, homer's been occupied with schooland studies. He'll make a comeback once his holidays rolls in. Or so he told me the last time we spoke~o w o
