To critique someone on character alone is ridiculous. They haven't done shit.

So of course what else would the "Pros" say but Fite Me. Because that's the only way they'll be able to see how everything works.

Hey guys, I don't know where else to post this since this is the closest OLit has to a chat thread. As some keen observers may have noticed, I am currently running a game in the SE Subforum right here.

I wish to ask if some of you might be interested if I also ran the same game here. It would still be 3-6 players. I'm not expecting alot of participants because of Error's tournament, but maybe you can balance your time well and it would give the others something to do.

I will create the thread if I get at least 3 willing participants. I need to beta test this baby

If you don't have any dice with that, shoot me a message in a week. I got one more 7 day straight workweek, but I'm game when that wraps

Rest in peace, Ayam. It was nice knowing you.
Prepare for the 8-0 point landslide.
EDIT: and since this is a "Discussion" thread, I feel I should start some.
Which battle of yours was your favorite? Which one would be the first one to show your friends and say "and this is definitely my most favorite one I've made" (I'm sure all of you talk exactly like that... like me.)
My would have to be Omega vs. Verde. When I first received the request I wasn't too particularly excited. In fact, all I thought was that I would be getting another point added to my score.
Because I care so much about my score.
Then I saw the character page. It was horribly incomplete, very little was one in the personality section, the demo was eh, and overall I was very frustrated in trying to figure out how I was going to portray his character.
But, over time I kinda pieced together my own view of this shut-in botanist who had made it his life's work to produce plants with supernatural capability. So I got to make a plant that worked like a Keurig (albeit, it could only make coffee and it couldn't heat up said drink). Then I gave him the elements of hope and typical hero "I will do anything to save others" mentality.
Then Omega slowly demoralized him, and then had him beg for his life.
Still, it was much slower-paced than many of my other stories, it got into the other character's background, developed said character, and then displayed the ultimate struggle of trying to fight a nemesis. Just to have it end in Omega melting face off. It had many elements that I was quite proud of, even though I know it needs dramatic improvement still.

So, how about the rest of you?

Woah! Don't count your chickens before they hatch, buddy!

I can't say for sure...there are so many good battles out there that I've read so far that I can never pick which one is the best!

So, how about the rest of you?

Well, I'm doing great, thanks for asking! Stickpage is so much FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, thanks for sharing your experience about working with a challenging character. It's very encouraging to hear that sort of thing as a writer ^_^

I'm gonna agree with ayamketimun on this one... Just because he's new doesn't mean he can't win. I don't doubt anyone on here's writing skills, (you're all better than me...) but I was a newbie and I went up against Org for my first fight and tied.
So... Like Ayam said...

Crank is undefeated. 10 battles, his first was a tie, two were spars, the rest he won. He's also the only person to beat Lobo, if you can really count a forfeit.
His score is also wrong, and I just realized that. It should be 7/0/1/0... onto the Hall of Warriors!

Still, don't judge a book by it's cover. Ayamketimun could secretly be a famous author we've never heard about that's gonna the win the battle by not even trying... <---(Probably not true, but you get my point.)

Famous and we've never heard about him?
Hmmm... that seems like an oxymoron there.

Ha! Wow, I really stirred things up, didn't I? Thanks for the support though, Ignus...I really appreciate it!

Oh and by the way, I'm a lady if anyone's wondering. Just putting it out there.

Heh, thanks Mal, I'm going to love havin the new crew really against me, chanting for my head on a bloody spear

No one in my personal life really knows that I exist on here in all honesty though, but I think Hollywood (& August) vs Abra may be my favorite semi recent battle. Since most of my characters lean towards good guys, I normally don't get to write gore like that
