Nah, it's not like that, like what you said. Levi could use some longer reaching weapons... A kunai is usually a little over a foot long, so a chain would give him more length.

Yeah, he has only one after his battle with Six, he could throw it and retrieve it with his smoke, but with only one, what's the point of throwing it?

Why do you need length if you got an gap closer?

Hmmm, cause I want a different method of attack besides smoke? Not every opponent is gonna fall for the same trick over and over, it's good to have multiple techniques under your belt...

I mean... he could just buy/create more than 1 chained-kunai. You could even come up with some nifty attachment on a belt/bandoleer that be can wrap the ones he isn't using around for better accessibility. Even better, he could have a closed spool that forcibly launches said chained kunai out of an opening with compressed air or some other form of propulsion just by pressing a button. Once the chain's almost fully extended, he can grab it and start flinging it around to his heart's content without wasting any time unwrapping the whole thing beforehand. If you wanted to get really crazy, the spool could have multiple openings with multiple chains (or just multiple spools, each with their own chain) that he can use at the same time (similar idea/look to Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear from that one really cool anime about flying parkour and giant slaying... I mean... you could seriously do something like that as well...)

Just a suggestion (Chained kunai sound very cool to use in a fight with a character like that.). :D

I'm a few days late to the topic, but who cares I'm going to give my two cents.
This isn't a video game. Don't worry about gap closers, how versatile a guy is, blah, blah, blah.
Your character is a means to write a good story, not a fighting game character who has to worry about the 20 different elements of the game involved. It creates for better storytelling when you use the aspects given to your character (wit, knowledge, the ability to break the fourth wall) to overcome a test. Because then it's the character solving it, not his sonic screwdriver.

If one wanted to use a group(2-4) of characters as their RHG(s), would that be acceptable? They would, of course, undergo careful balancing.

The way challenging would work would be the challenger deciding which of the members they wish to fight. For instance, the challenger doesn't wish to take on all four at once, so they can opt to challenge 1 if they so wish, or 2 or 3, etc. Or they can challenge all four at once if they're feeling ballsy.

So... acceptable?

I don't think that many has been done before, but so long as there's a logical reason they're bunched together I don't see much of an issue. People have used two before, and sometimes both aren't present in the battle.

Quick correction here on account of Abra. Technically we've had folks with an entire troupe at their backs (or where their face should be?), not to mention the characters with wealthy benefactors and arms providers, which are probably too numerous to name at this point.

So you may not be the first to try something like that Kamiroo, and you probably won't be the last either.

But just a word of caution for anyone looking to attempt this sort of thing- know what you're getting yourself (and others, such as opponents or clanmates) into when you're pulling characters out of a hat like that. A group full of characters might sound like a lot of fun- and it certainly can be, but it's a headache for sure. So if you are going for that sort of dynamic, I would say be prepared to explain why that extra pack of characters are worth the headache should you decide to enter into a battle or a clan. The same could be said for intricate powers and backstories however, so it's possible that there's a balance to consider in respect to sheer content and critical details.

But ultimately, so long as you and whoever you end up working with know what needs to be done and are committed to doing it- you'll do just fine.

Anyway, there is nothing wrong with using your RHG as your wRHG(as it has been done before), though it it sometimes just easier to have a different character altogether. You just have to rely more on your storytelling skills rather than flashy moves and smooth animation techniques. I personally have no problems with it, nor do I think there is anything stating you can't(I may be wrong), but let's hope someone else can help you more than I can.

Oh, and while it is ok to have your character be a stick figure, I'd just. work out an actual descriptive appearance for them instead. Just my two-cents.
