If you want to have Riley go rogue / leave the clan, that's probably the direction you should aim to take things in. Otherwise you'll wind up staying on a course you'd rather not stay on, which might not end well. Definitely talk it over with your clanmates though if you can, if you haven't already, as your choice will affect their characters' relations with yours, and their opinions on the matter could very well wind up informing yours.
As someone who's in... two or three clans right now (which I wouldn't recommend doing) I can definitely empathize with the thought of leaving it all behind. But the important thing to note is that there are many different ways of doing that, different speeds of doing that, and different reasons for doing so. For example, maybe instead of having Riley leave the Blade Mercs in their entirety, perhaps he simply found somewhere else to stay at for the time being?
Maybe he bought a place, maybe he's just been hanging out at other people's homes? You say he has a wife and kids- is he spending time with them?
Maybe in addition to working with the Blade Mercs & seeing his kid, he's been engaging in extracurricular activites? Maybe there's another woman? Man?
Maybe he's been doing missions for the CIA again, as opposed to missions for the Blade Mercs?
All of those questions are points you may want to try and answer, whether that answer results in Riley's separation from the Mercs or not. Talk it over with your clanmates, think it over yourself, and know that whatever direction you decide to go in, we'll be here to help you go down it.
