Scarecrow for president. lol

But seriously, he's right. We all need to grow up about it. I've seen a lot of those kind of people around here who thinks they're more better than anyone. No one cares if you're the Alpha Male, or this girl's the prettiest, or any of that. We're all human.

Idk if this statement serves its purpose, but I hope you know what I mean.

Oh, and about stick figures is art thing, I also agree. Just because you made an awesome stick figure picture doesn't make you Picasso or Leonardo flipping Da Vinci.

Again, dunno if this statement also proves a point.

however i believe people will be better off if they don't waste their time trying to convince a girl on the internet to pay attention to them.

I know I wasted my time. Looking back on myself when I was younger makes me laugh at my own stupidity. Good thing I learned from it. Problem was that it was the hard way.

Same here, really.

Perhaps I should also provide an anecdote from personal experience, although in my case it was with a girl who I did actually get to meet a few times a year when she would visit.

She originally lived where I do, and I had pretty strong feelings for her. She moved to another country, and I continued to focus all my efforts on starting a relationship with her, albeit via msn or whatever the fuck I was using back then.

It took me... a good 5 years or so of chatting, rare meetings/hangouts when she visited, and total ignorance of the girls around me whom I actually had a chance with, to realize that I had already been friend zoned a looong time ago.

After a while of alcoholism, I eventually moved on, wisened up, learned my lessons, and actually paid attention to the people around me instead. Now I have had the same girlfriend for just over 2 years now.

Stick Art: I think stick art can be a decent style of art... It allows for you to play with different colors and anatomy you probably couldn't do with full body...
Now for those who (figuratively) rub their dicks in everyones' faces because they think they are the shit for knowing how to draw stick figures need to grow the fuck up and learn how to draw like a big boy...

But I fail to see how this would be considered half assed:
Notable Stick Art (Click to Show)

Internet Sex or whatever the fuck: I think internet dating/ crushes are fucking gross and unnatural...
I would think it's not that hard just to talk to people in real life and get somewhat socialized...
Treating someone better or worse over the internet based off of gender is fucking pathetic...

I whole-heartedly agree with what you've pointed out Scarecrow, the only problem is a good portion of the member pool consists of kids my age (15) or younger, who tend to be immature and are, you know, going through that wonderful stage of life. I doubt any word you've said will sink into all of them, but a few might understand and change. Lol, internet relationships, to any person who reads this, there is a very very very very small chance that it will actually work out, I've only seen a few relationships that have. The only problem I have, and I'm not like table flipping pissed or anything, is the fact that a lot of people have been popping up that hate on stick art. I do agree that it is a quick, simple, and slightly lazy art form, but I think it as well is also a stepping stone for fullbody art, kind of like how stick animation is a stepping stone for fullbody animation. If they decide to take the time and not be even more lazy with it, it helps beginners learn how to create different poses, create different backgrounds, learn the basics of lighting, and a lot of other things. While you can do this just by learning fullbody itself, people who didn't like drawing may discover that they actually like drawing through stick art, and will take a step further. And I mean, cmon, it's stickpage, where a good majority of the members don't have very much artistic talent, so not everyone can draw themselves a fullbody RHG picture. I still agree that it's lazy if you are an experienced artist, but I don't think stick art is that bad of a thing for beginners.

that is all i have to say, now either hang your heads in shame or get angry at me, i don't care which.

addendum: this thread will likely achieve nothing. however, i am open to discussion on the issue. i feel like an old grandpa telling the kids to behave.

this is nothing to be angry about, i fact i understand all of this, but i am just simply saying to myself

Lol Scarecrow, this is what 10-15 year old boys act like on the internet. It's a given

More or less, this is what happens when you spend your time on a stick figure animation forum. What did you expect?

I remember a thread where someone drew a stickfigure rhg of someone or something and like almost everyone that commented willingly admitted they jacked off to it.

Let me just start by saying, Scarecrow, I've always respected you and thought you were a rather intellectual down to earth type of gentleman.
It feels very good to see that I wasn't the only one thinking the exact same thing. I've been too busy lately to make a thread about, so I thank you.

And so, other than showing that people's egos are way too big, and even using yours as an example, what is the point of this hate thread?

Scarecrow, I am amazed at the risk that you are taking when you post this, yet impressed by your bravado.

A lot of famous people who contributed a lot, like scooty, got banned for doing stuff not as bad as this. (which brings up the subject if they deserved to be banned, but that is for another time)

I am just saying that all this will accomplish is to encourage people to enflate their egos even more, in order to defend themselves.

I just want it to be known that I originally read this post and interpreted it like you were some sort of long time friend of his. Also, who the fuck is Scooty?

Quote from Zaie
benefit of the doubt my ass you're just looking for attention to hopefully fill the holes your own insecurity has created

Read the entire thread again, and then the last bit of this post.
I suggest you take caution in the future when you decide it's a good idea to flame/troll. Consider this a warning.

As much as I enjoy animating stick figures, you cannot make stickfigure artwork and expect to make something phenomenal.
The image you posted is actually quite bad. All I see is someone who can put enough effort into linear colors and eyes.
Are you telling me that image is anyone close to being considered to be in the running with an image such as:
Image

Two people, versus twenty people. All stick figure art will show you is your attention to detail, which in comparison to other forms of art you wouldn't even be close to making anything decent.

http://forums.stickpage.com/showthread.php?47485-Jade-is-totally-hawt

90% of the comments in this thread are completely retarded. I believe someone even asked if he could draw another image with slightly less clothing.
The kinds of people that think this is attractive to say the least are the same kinds of kids who are going to bust a nut when they get their first kiss.
Key words in that sentence are "are going to" and "when they". Future tense.
