Quote from tygor123If your opponent has one or two giants, magikill with speartons can do the trick. However, if your opponent is massing giants, then you'll have to resort to trying to run past all your opponent's defenses and attacking only the statue. You won't be able to kill five giants with more on the way and be able to effectively rebuild. Scout the opponent's castle with a swordwrath. If he doesn't have any units in front of his statue, he either has not made any or is garrisoning them in his castle to hide them from your sight. Either way, your opponent is probably building up giants. From here, build up two or more lines of speartons. Once this is done, command all your speartons to attack the opponent's tower. The giants of your opponents will stun as many speartons as their amount, and kill maybe a few, but they'll only put a dent in your army. You should be able to destroy the statue with 8+ speartons, even if it does have resilience.
If your opponent has walls in front of the statue, command your speartons to attack those first. As in, manually right click on the walls. This is because your units will run into the wall if you right clicked on the statue first, or they will deviate and attack units in front of the wall if you just clicked the attack option.
A desperate attack by miners shouldn't be a stopping force for your army. Magikill with electric wall in conjunction with 3 castle archers will. If this is the case, kill the magikill first. If he has set up an electric wall, attack the statue from the side the wall isn't on. The archers should really only be able to bring your speartons to low health at that point. Consider bringing along a meric, though those will die easily amidst boulders and arrows.
The greatest counter to this counter is an intelligent opponent commanding his miners to continuously build walls in front of his statue as you destroy them. You can't target a wall as it's being built in the first second, so your speartons will deviate, probably. You can attack the miner, however, and from there, destroy the low health wall. No matter what, though, this play by your opponent will put more time in your speartons to get battered, and possibly end up having your attack fail.
