So hey I got two more swords this Christmas.
One's really good, full-tang, carbon steel, fully-functional, and everything, its a tactical-wakizashi katana.
The other one I don't know who gave it to me or where they got it.
It was supposed to be a functional copy of the Zatoichi sword.
Well, when I opened it was blunt, but I took care of that with my sharpening stone.
I was practicing with it the next day and the blade flew out and fell in my neighbors yard.
Cheap sword, eh.
Well, let's talk about what swords you own and their quality.

Nice! I too have an interest in swords, though the only real blade my parents'll allow is a fencing foil. Has a rubber tip, sure, but it sounds like a lot more useful than that Zatoichi of yours, eh?

I have a machete, it rusts real easy tho. Its either the iron rusts normally, because its at least 10 years old. Or its just cheap iron.
Its good for cutting grass tho..

Huh. Dunno why, but I've never had much problem with my blade rusting. I haven't had to polish it or anything; it's been wrapped up for years now.

I collect these things cami, they're good antiques to have.
It's really difficult to get a genuinely REAL sword these days, almost never at a cheap price.
The one you were practicing with was one of the cheap one's I just mentioned; NEVER use those for actual swordplay, they're just there for decor.
If you really want to practice without cutting your own arm off, I suggest getting a bamboo timber wooden kendo sword, get the gear as well.
Those things are heavy, but the more you practice with them, the lighter they seem.

I thought it was fully-functional, because i don't buy swords for decor.
It was probably worth less than 50 bucks.
On the other hand, the first sword i got was a genuine sword, perfect slices through cutting mats, probably gonna last me a couple of years.
It was probably worth 200 dollars.
There is a website you can buy these battle ready swords, is Swordsofmight, Google it

I have a sword, just not one from Christmas. I have 1 replica of Date Masamune's swords. It's pretty cool and all. Wish I knew how to use it correctly xD

I have 4 katana thingys. One is fake, the rest is rusty and falling apart. I used to fight my nephew with them. That used to be fun.

My dad has this long ass katana with Japanese words all over it. But it's rusty as fuck and he hid it somewhere in his room. He says he likes it rusty so he can give bitches tetanus.
