i searched the forum and couldnt find an exact thread about this.
so tell me, is being gay wrong? please give me your opinion.

im religious and it says in the bible that its a sin, so i think its wrong. but i want to hear peoples thoughts on it.
please stay on topic and respect each others opinions.

Yes it says that amn shall not do what they do with women to men, but the bibke also says that god will forgive ur sins and accept you for you are. I see no problem in being gay, its who that person is, and the sooner they accept that, the faster others will too. It doesnt matyer what others think tho. As long as theyre ok with it, its good. So no, i dont think being gay is wrong

I am also quite religious, but I find nothing wrong with homosexuality, or any sexuality really.
Sure its awkward, and may make some people feel uncomfortable.

But the way I see it, let them do them, and let you be you. Its like judging you just because you don't like someone's girlfriend.

homosexuality is the product of the presence of too much estrogen in a male system. that is to say, there's a scientific reason for it, and people who are gay can't help it.

you should not judge people for the circumstances they are born into.

Did you actually think about the topic yourself? It seems you just decided that being gay is wrong or bad because the bible says sodomy is wrong. Try to think about things yourself and don't let a hundred year old book tell you what to think. So with a more open mind, and a fresh start. Explain without using religion why being gay is bad or wrong.

he will forgive if you ask for forgiveness and repent. thats why i believe in teaching gays and in know way support bullying gay people.

and no cobalt, i wanted to hear other people thought on it.

scarecrow, that may be true but perhaps they should view it as a challenge to overcome.

it's not just old, it's completely warped. i have nothing against being religious, i have nothing against christianity. but your bible doesn't even know what the original aims of said religion were, doesn't understand the real meaning of "heaven", doesn't have a clue what Jesus was talking about, etc etc

sorry, i'll stop being blasphemous now. i need to vent sometimes.

I got no problem with homo or such. Sure it kinda creeps or disturbed people but that's just the way they want themselves.
Even I'm not really religious and more of an atheist, it doesn't matter.
If they want it and they enjoy themselves then let them like how you do what you want.

Personally, I do not see it as "wrong", however, when I see a gay person, it does gives me the creeps, and I do my best to avoid them.

Religion deserves just as much respect as any other opinionated thing would. Music, politics etc. Criticizing it harshly is fine, as it is fine to criticize any other thing that is based on preference.

Going by bible's bronze age morals, you'd have to also accept slavery as alright. Please don't take your morals from 2000 year old desert writings by anonymous authors.
