After buying some ATH-M50s, they have become one of my favourite possessions.

What headphones do you have/like? Post a picture.

I own an afterglow gaming headset.

They are wireless and universal, meaning it can also be used for my music players. The downside is that it hugs my ears perhaps a little bit too tight and it gets uncomfortable after some time. Also the plastic part is a little excessive, nonetheless the glow is quite sexy. For $108, it was well worth the buy compared to other headsets they have. If I was loaded I would probably try to get one of those Tritton headsets. They look pretty slick to me.

I used to own a PS3 stereo headset as well.

It is slightly more pricey in stores, but the one I bought online was for around $100. It was quite good and more comfortable then my current one. HOWEVER. It died in 2 months. Being wireless, the usb adapter thingy suddenly died on me one day leaving me a functional but useless headphones. Since I bought it online overseas, I didn't have the means of replacement. It may be because I used it every day... I don't know.

I don't know much about music headphones, but I hear beats are all the rage. Wouldn't mind having one of those in my possession but wouldn't care if I didn't. My ipod headphones are all I need currently.

Oh nice. How are the afterglows with soundstage? ie. hearing the direction of the sounds origin. Those PS3 headphones are actually the first ones Sony tried to make. They released an upgraded version awhile back (i actually bought these for a friend. Was about $140):

Image

I only listened to them briefly and I was drunk so I can't really tell how they sounded. I do know most gaming headsets won't really approach the sound clarity of the m50s as they are intended as studio monitor headphones. Atleast in the price range of $100 - $250. Who knows.

NEVER BUY BEATS. Beats are basically the Apple of headphones, but worse.

> Terrible grainy sound
> Overpowering bass ruins mids/treble
> Overpriced as fuck (The most expensive, beats pros, cost $400+ and still don't sound as good as the m50s)
> Beats are terrible value for money when it comes to headphones. They sound like $30 headphones yet they cost $200 - $400.
> basically a 200-400 dollar fashion assessory
> don't be fooled by marketting
> I mean it
>seriously

Anyway, if in the future I feel like upgrading headphones (although I am perfectly happy right now) I might go for the Sennheiser HD650s. Only thing I dislike about them is that I heard they give a more distanced presentation where it sounds as though the sound is coming from further away. Although I only heard this mentioned by headphonic (possibly Australias best headphone shop which I happen to live just a mere 10 minutes away from c:. )

I have a pair of vibes
Image
They're lesser known, but they're good for what they're worth.
> around $50 price range
> Clear audio in both channels
> Doesn't overpower the bassline
> Noise cancelling
> Fit for comfort wear

It's certainly better than the shit ear buds you get at dollar tree.

I have a pair of ATH-M50s as well, they're pretty good.

But I opened this up in them:

And modified them so they have the little 3.5mm jack instead of the cable going direcly into them, like so:

And I changed the pleather earpads out for some some velour ones, takes away from the isolation a bit but it's worth it for better comfort.

Lol, if you have the right parts it's just a matter of cutting and soldering some stuff.
It's pretty easy to figure out :>

I have 2 pairs of headphones that I use for two individual computers. I have these :

Not the best and not the best with comfort, but they do pack a good-quality sound for my likings. :3

I also have these old Sony headphones that I don't think anyone even remembers :

Image

Pretty good. Not the best, but I still wear these. xP

I recently bought a new pair of earphones. Powerful base, great sound, and very cheap, too. :O
