why do people repack my sounds. oh lordy, you do realize after flash imports the sound, it stores it raw in the fla regardless of compression format (mp3's are smaller than raw, and making an mp3 raw increases filesize A TON. but not quality. quality can only be degraded.) also fla's are such a stupid way to store sounds for another reason. fla's become corrupted much easier over time like any working project format, just like how my .obj's never corrupt, but my .max files flip out constantly. it's not a good container for transfering data because it's made to be used and worked with. not as long term storage. you really should have asked.

Flash doesn't automatically re-encode audio on import unless it's encoded with an unsupported sample rate, but that won't convert it to a different file format. That isn't what causes the file size to increase, that's caused by the history/library duplicating the audio data every time it's saved, which can be fixed with the Save & Compress function. Or just saving it to a new .fla file.
It's still a pretty stupid way to share audio, a regular zip file would be a lot better.
Either way, you reported this, so what exactly do you want us to do about this? Did you actually make any of these sounds? Did you get permission from the original creators to use/share them in the first place? If not, then they're not really your sounds and no one needs your permission to share them.

look ok im sorry, I can try to see if i can get all the files into just a zip file then. But i was just making sure people dont waste time putting all the sound files onto one .fla
