If you were a mod then surely you'd see all the posts you'd have reported before so could just immediately respond to them? Or am I missing something here like mods needing to receive a report to do something about a post?
that's good?
Not all the time. While we do a lot of janitorial stuff, it makes our jobs a lot easier if people report those issues. In addition, reports also help separate grey areas in the rules. If there's something that you guys aren't happy with, it comes to our attention a lot faster if you report it, and we can discuss the issue more effectively (in other words, reports can also serve as a feedback system). It also helps us keep track of repeat offenders like empiresma. Of course we don't
need reports, but it makes our jobs easier and helps solve issues that don't involve blatant rule breaking.
All the others mods are far to busy and we need someone from this section to watch this section.
Actually, this isn't completely true. Stickpage isn't super duper active like it used to be, so it's more manageable to handle individual forums and reports than before.
However with the community as it is recently I don't know if I trust us as a community to elect somebody responsible who isent going to just ban people they hate and support their friends clan mates etc.
We're definitely not allowing people to elect specific people. We're just giving you guys a choice if you want a representative mod from your forum. If we need a new moderator, like I said, we'll either have an application or we'll discuss with people in and outside of the Batcave who we think is most fit for the job.
