Aaaaanyway can someone explain to me the appeal of DM? It's been around for a year but I never really got into it very much.

I read the Antis thread. Bit late, but a good laugh. And lol @ Tec.

For me, DM was a nice breather from classic to just jump straight into macro/micro play. Along with allowing us to make variations (e.g. Rage/Mage).

DM...? In classic we both start with lower tier units but in DM we both skip to later tier units, so yea... DM is just skipping the lower tier units war

What DAZ said, and it allowed more flexibility in terms of army compositon and allowed more experimentation with builds.
I also would play it as a "just for fun" game mode when I got frustrated with classic because I didn't really care about my DM rating.
