Pft I suggested that instead of Path 1.64 it should say Patch 1.64 ... my advice was taken and the game looks more professional. GG

View Profile Hey guys just wanted to give you a heads up before this patch goes live this is what we have in as of now and will likely be up tomorrow morning with all of these:
Patch 2.25
- Players that do not select an Empire during the matchup screen will have to wait 2 minuites to rejoin matchmaking.
- Upon expiration of duration of spell "Blind Gate", Earth Elemental is returned.
- Castle Air Elemental does splash burn damage.
- Water Elementals spell "Mass Heal" has a maximum total heal spread evenly among nearby alied units.
- Swordwarth Helmets now available in the armory.
- Treature items now available in the armory.
- Charrog items now available in the armory.
- Many new armory items for all units.
- Castle Archidons, Castle Deads and Castle Air Elemental's projectiles have a gold color tint.

EDIT: One change that could be interesting for blind gate would be not being able to hear spells that come from behind the gate. That way you could put down an infernos meteor strike and run away without them knowing. Still wouldn't make blind gate worth the cost, though.

View Profile I agree, everything is good but why is ele getting buffed? It should be getting revamped. Ele castle Air doing splash damage? Now ele can build a whole army in minutes and now it's going to be harder to get pressured..I do not like.

We did reduce the damage of the initial impact from the Castle Air Elemental , just forgot to mention that.

buff is not the problem. The problem is to buff at the correct part, and nerf at the correct part as well.
Tree issue and blind gate issue still remain to be unsolved.

I feel like this would just add to elemental's gimmicky play. Drop a blind gate, drop some AoE, and hope they don't react and get fucked because no sound? Especially multiplied with lag. I just don't see it. I feel like deception shouldn't be a forced mechanic, it should be natural mind-games; and you see this all the time in matchups, two examples:
Hiding mana when the opponent pushes/scouts into your base.
Techswitching in response to intuition; e.g. you think he's going to go mage heavy so you garrison two-three shadowrath.

View Profile Huh, good. Don't know what you guys are complaint about ele buffs for.
Castle air can't 2 hit archers so early pressure will be a thing, and water heal changes are going to nerf charrog mass heavily. Treatures are already harder to rush out, pressuring ele in the early game should be more viable now and will mean ele won't get a free economy game at the start.
@Rain, like Daz, I think that would just add more gimmickyness to an already gimmicky empire.

the reason was that I figured out obvious strength and weakness of ele
In short map both EvO or EvC are quite easy. But in long maps both EvO and EvC can be difficult, especially EvC, which is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to play
So playing ele is just a gamble on the map size lol

View Profile Great to here from you CJ argree with those changes sounds good? I can see your making blind gate cheaper by returning the earth but i don't think that will sort out the problem it really needs revamping but you won't have the time for that.
