Ah, my bad. I was under the assumption that we were all gamers and used good PCs.

Its not the internet that makes the computer lag, its the physical hardware. If you are using all available ram just to run SE on Chrome (which eats a lot of ram), then obvs you cant run camtasio.

With that being said, if you have a solid rig, you should be able to record it with no problem.

You could also look into dual booting Ubuntu alongside windows as Ubuntu tends to outperform windows on the same hardware. You do need some space on your harddrive to put it though.
