You completely misunderstood me on this. I've already started the full anim long before this. My expirement is, i'm not going to show anyone until i'm finished. This full animation i've been doing for a week or so, i'm just not showing it off, i'm going to see if not showing it off will actually keep me going. I didnt just say "Okay, lets start a full anim to test this." That's too much work, i'm going to see if i'll finish what ive already started and stay motivated if I keep to myself.

Everyobody should quit trying to fucking go against what Jeff is trying to say for what ever god awful reason, and learn from his post.

I for one am definitely going to try this theory of not telling anyone about my anims. Thank you for this piece of insight Jeff.

And about the whole art controversy: It's the truth people. If youre serious about animation, learn actual anatomy and some better techniques instead of posting 2d, uncolored, pieces of effortless crap. Try. And the more you try, the more experience you get from it. And the more experience you get, the more people you get trying to suck your dick.

hiii~ can i just say something? everything in this post is so grammar scary and stuff!

now im not trying to be arrogant here but i AM self aware that some animators here see me as one of those "idol animators". im one of those dudes as well as a few others that support everything jeff has said, but thats not the point of my post

i just wanted to say i stopped making test animations unless its specifically something i am not familiar with and REQUIRES me to try it before putting it into a work or else it wouldnt be up to par in skill with all my other stuff

"fl combo.swf combopractice_5231.swf speedbattlevspenis.swf" <-- waaaay too many of these. i think everyone should just do full lengths, thats litterally where all my practice goes now; ive invested the last year doing multiple full length animations which are all almost done now! and i can tell the acceleration of my improvement has at least doubled than when i just did a billion tests.

TRUST ME YOU'LL ALL BE HAPPIER AS CIVILIZED HUMAN BEINGS IF YOU DO WHAT I SAAAYYY~
