I see the point here. I think what messes up is the reasoning.
I do shorts for practice... Which is okay.
I show full animations to see, am I doing well? I have had to live off cnc in the community, to the point of, when I post something, i will get critiques. And after accomplishing something, it hurts when someone tells you what you did wrong in it, so I try to get cnc early, so i can fix it as I go. Which is probably me feeding the "I succeeded" even though I haven't. And it's hard not to show off what you're proud of. I think a trailer, and a upcoming works and progress thread is good. But don't show the animation to any one. Give the wait.
I'm going to expirement. I'm going to try making a animation. I wont tell anyone, or show anyone. I'll see if I finish. If I do, then I will always follow this method of don't show, because it's really hard not to show things.
