One of the big drawbacks in the game, imo, is the giant spammers. At times, this basically leads to a stalemate, where the person trapped with three tower archers cannot take the middle form someone with the ghost enslaved giant, but the person with the center cannot destroy their statue because with three archers and a decent player, it basically creates a stalemate.
Some solutions to this setup would include allowing people to differentiate units. For instance, I would gladly have my enslaved giant do less damage for greater throwing range. Other people have made suggestions or pointed out the need for some variety in the game. Of late, 90% of people I play take one strategy/approach. Sometimes, you cannot muster enough forces before they turtle down... and the game becomes a bore/chore.

Typically I can destroy the statue if on offense, and on defense, if played correctly, I can kill his troops and take middle and hop on offense quickly. Either that or after he's dead I just rush his statue :o
My point is, is that the player skill all depends on this. You must've been matched with some pretty damn equal people :p

if its giant mass versus giant mass, and you have the middle, then you can win with the better economy and decent micro (not letting any giants die). at that point of the game the first row of gold mines should be depleted, and they probably cannot mine the second if you pressure them. They could try to stop your units, but that would mean losing the advantage of the castle archer in a skirmish.

The middle player would also have a continuous supply of ghosts.

If they have 3 castle archers you can easily block the arrows with a giant while a magikill puts an electric wall on the statue and raged swords destroy it and archers camping outside castle archer range slow or stop economy.

However, I think the best way to beat it is using magikill, with hit-run method
First, Giants moves first to the statue.
Second, Magikill move behind him.
Third, cast electric walls.
Finally, get the magikill away from the statue.

Anothe idea. Get a spearton. move him in range of the archers and then use shield wall. charge with swordwrath. win.

I giant spam, so i kinda know alot bout giants.So spears can't work. 6 buckets and it dies and psear production is only half of giant production.Shadowraths.That's a possibility but he can simply mass swords, archers and giants so it won't work.So i conclude that... you have to defeat him in the early game.Look out for miner walls ad castle archers.see miner wall, get a bucket of archers.Then kite those giants.It won't work in small maps and medium maps.
