uhh... No offense but that's selfish, plus I bet you have no basic experiences on animating stuff. You should prove yourself that your worthy being reserved on a clan by having an RHG before you ask somebody to request a slot for you.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's for the clan leader to decide among him/her self on whether or not that's selfish. While you may think it's selfish, there's plenty of clans looking for more members that probably aren't going to get some anytime soon. And he's probably a beginner, but there's clans that accept any skill level. I know Toxigen would probably be willing to save a spot for him. He should at least have the right to post that. Whether the clan actually saves a spot, or ends up changing their mind, is completely up to them.

Actually, he should be more specific on which clan he wants to join than vice versa... Yeah I know he has rights to post that.

CLANS 101: basically, it's a group of up to 6 animators working on animations together in order to improve each of their skills together. Basically, instead of having to learn and gain experience on your own, you have your own team to help you do it, and you can help them as well. As far as i know, it's an extremely effective way of learning how to animate. Many clans do things called weeklies, which are short animations usually done every week to practice something. Some other clans who are confident in their abilities make collaborations where they all work together on one single animation to show everyone what they've learned. For example, the clam I'm in, called Pathfinder, happens to be having a collab of our own. A really skilled clan named Nemesis is also working on a collab of theirs. I'm pretty sure there's a section that can give more details and stuff. Or you can go up to a clan and ask if that doesn't work

I think you have to have at least 2 members including yourself to start with, but your clan doesn't have to always have all 6 members. Many clans never end up full. I know of a clan or two that still only have 2 members. So yeah, you can just build up members gradually. Nobody starts out with 6 members. Also, another thing you should know, if there's a lot of people wanting to join your clan, you can have "honorary members" which are like members that aren't really members. they aren't really required to actually do anything for the clan. They're kind of a status symbol. Most clans only have 1 or 2 at most, but some *cough*palaxy*cough* have tons of them. The cool thing about those is, you can be a member of one clan and still be honorary in another. most clans save their honorary spots for good animators though. Thought you'd like to know.

Question: Can I join a clan then choose to leave after a while? If so, what are some clans that are cool with this? (Mostly just need a group of people I can get some good advice/experience with as well as having some fun, but I'm worried about losing the option to join something I might prefer more later on.)

you can join and leave clans as you so wish as long as your RHG isn't locked. You should provide a reason for leaving a clan before you do tho.
