What is its real use, anyway? Discuss.

Theories I have heard of:
Adds more health
Sometimes deflects arrows
Lowers damage done to it

Adds more health: No. Reason: It's HP. It's another thing differently.
Sometimes deflects arrows: DA HELL? IT DOES? I don't think so...
Lowers damage done to it: 100% true. But only true for a few types of attacks.
PS: This is my opinion.(Which is based on facts, mind you...)

Brock, please help us settle this issue.
But I would say that I think it's a damage reduction.

...Er, you do realize how forums work, right? You POST something, then someone else READS it later on... They don't have to be online the instant you post it.
But back on topic. I swear that albatross take more than 6 arrows to kill, but still have 2 bars.

Even with Blazing Bolts. I know, because I use them a lot.

Well, it could be that it decreases damage, or that they actually are "armored". But, is a Magikill armored though? If it's not, it has the same HP as a Dead, which IS armored.... therefore, armor DOES exist. If not, Armor is just more HP, and a Magikill is armored....

i dont understand why Deads are "armored".Look at these niggas they are parody of zombies and zombies dont have armor expect it could be spartan zombie ^^.Feel free to explain to me and jli - nvm

For functional, invisible armour?
It changes how damage is dealt.
There are 3 kinds of attacks in Stick Empires, armour-piercing, health-damaging and normal.
Armour piercing attacks are rare. I think the only armour piercing attack is the albowtross arrows. Maybe the magikill electric wall, but I don't think so.
Armour-piercing attacks do regular damage to non-armoured units, but do much more damage to armoured units.
Health-damaging attacks are probably the most common. They do normal damage to health, but less damage to armour.
Normal attacks do equal damage, regardless of unit. Normal attacks include shadowrath attacks, giant attacks, poison, bombers, magikill explosion, hell fists (maybe?)
The only armoured units though are speartons and juggerknights though.
I may be completely wrong on anything in this post though.....

Pretty sure that armor basically gives resistance to most attacks. For example I suppose armor is pointless against Magikill, but effective against swords and arrows. It is probably useless against rocks because they're FREAKING HUGE so no difference lol.

I'm quite sure "Armory Armor" is for only aesthetics
A "Armored Unit" has a higher defense value from Arrows and most Melee Weapons however, Armored can be weaker to certain weapons such as Fire Arrows
A "Non-Armored Unit" has a basic defense value from all weapons

If I recall, there are two types.
Unarmored and armored. This isn't real armor, but it's what we got.
Armored takes bonus damage to certain weapon types/abilities, and less damage to other stuff.
For example, the standard Archidon Arrow, and then Flame Arrow.
Standard Albowtross Bolt and a Blazing Bolt.
That's really about it.
I may be wrong.
