This has been a question that has stumped a lot of people, Treyarch, Activision, Infinity Ward VS 343 Industries and Bungie.

Which do you guys think is better. The Sci-fi alien first person shooter, Or the realistic battle of Call of Duty.

Pros of Halo: First game for Xbox, better graphics(Actually won an award for best graphics and multiplayer experience), well known
Cons of Halo: Campaign is hard to follow, less weapon selection, less aiming ability, less games, only for Xbox
Pros of COD:Campaign easy to follow, for Xbox and Playstation, More weapon diversity, Realistic
Cons of COD: Not as good multiplayer experience, less graphics than Halo.

Which do you think is better?

But there's a catch. Im sure everyone knows about the split up where Treyarch and Infinity Ward split into Modern Warfare(Infinity Ward) and Black Ops(Treyarch)
So where's Activision????
Turns out that Bungie and Activision had a secret plan. Bungie let 343 Industries take over the Halo series starting with 4. Now Bungie and Activision are working together!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're starting on a new game called Destiny which is apparently supposed to be an RPG.

What do you guys think? Will Bungie and Activision together put Treyarch and Infinity Ward out of business? As well as 343 Industries? Stay posted as I will give the information as it comes. I am going to make a new thread called Activision & Bungie Unite. Stay posted on there because I may not update this one

Umm.. This is a tough one, I like them both...

I have to say Call of Duty. I like the fact that you can use real weapons, attachments, camos, stuff like that.

Yeah I guess its good but I also like Halo's sci-fi action. But Call of Duty may be better. Once Destiny comes out its gonna trump them both. Check out my other thread Activision & Bungie Unite into Destiny

Dude, I have that game on Pre-order already... It will be the one game that changes FPS forever, making a whole new level in the world of video gaming.

But honestly, Halo peaks my interest the most, I just seem to know the controls better. Don't get me wrong, Activision kicks ass with the Modern Warfare/Call of Duty franchise, but with Bungie (and recently 343) working on Halo and all, I would buy a Halo game over the other in a heartbeat.

I have to say Halo since Call of Duty is the same generic crap as every other war themed game while Halo at least has a sci fi twist to it.

But overall I think both are shit.

Yes I totally agree with you. Halo is amazing and Destiny is going to reform the world of fps given just the face its a RPG

Realistic. Realistic. Realistic. Realistic. Realistic. Realistic.

Excuse me, did I hear that correctly? Did you say "Realistic"?

I will slap you with a goddamn sandwich.

Oh for the love of god, for all of the people who think call of duty is realistic. Simply, if you do some studying, COD is not realistic.

Honestly, I would say that I like them both, but I hate Black Ops. They released a sequal to it. Halo has a lot of mystery, lore, and fun campains to it. So Halo it is.

Bro COD really is realistic but Im definetely not sayin that COD is better than Halo. Actually in my opinion Halo is better than COD. Bungie did a spectacular job and everyone who says COD is better is just mad they have a ps3. Halo's storyline and meaning has a lot better detail than just a random story from COD. And of course like everyone else when I heard Bungie was quitting Halo and 343 Industries was taking over Halo I got a little scared but they did good and there is hope for the future of Halo..............IF destiny wasn't coming out LOL

Halo is better because the game is much more creative work into it.
I like the storyline into it and how they made the weapons.
Call of Duty has a good campaign, but the multiplayer is as shitty as hell.

Alright guys new info update.
Destiny will be having a 10 year life cycle after its first release which most likely means there will be sequels. Activision also stated in February of 2013 that they most likely will not be releasing Destiny this year. Fans hope for 2014.

Bungie has also stated that their open world will be "alive" meaning the reactions of the landscape are not controlled by the developer. Each object in the open world will have its own characteristic and will react differently. This means ur enemies will most likely be unpredictable. Destiny also (even though they say it will be an MMO) lacks a lot of MMO qualities. The biggest one is that u will not be able to see all the players on a particular server, rather Destiny will have matchmaking which will only let u see the players you connect with. On the other hand they do have some qualities such as a class system. There will be 3 classes Hunters Warlocks and Titans. Also I don't know if anyone say it but in Halo 3 ODST there was a sign in New Mombasa that said Destiny Awaits with a picture of Earth with a strange floating orb. Bungie was actually hinting to Destiny's approach. This means Bungie and Activision have been planning this since at least 2009....better be worth it. Stay tuned for more updates
