I personally am not too excited about the whole "3 dimensional" aspect for the new game. One of the things I've always liked about older sprite games is how simple they are, they complimented the age demographic they were intended for, because they replicated the drawings of the show, yet still allowed for the imagination to fill in some gaps.
Also, about he whole "it's hard coming up with new idea's" thing is such a cop out, It would be so easy to get some newer people on the gamef reak team to come up with new pokemon ideas. I mean there's 100's of sick looking "Fakamon" out there, and I think it would be pretty cool if the took some of those (sort of like a contest to "create your own cool pokemon" that a decent amount of other companies have done).
...but that's just me.

Why is it when people talk about how bad the Pokemon in Gen 5 are their argument is either "4 out of 155 of them looks bad, therefore the entire generation is bad." or "These design looks foreign and not as simple as they used to be, therefore GameFreak is running out of ideas." or somewhere between that line.

Because the new generation of gaming is running low on ideas.
GameFreak failed on Black & White and I'm worried they might fail again.

Quote from RaWrz-Cupcakes44omfg ur so right Black and White were just auto tuned, fucked up named, fucked up looking, pokemon. i feel like stunkfish is a parody of magikarp and magikarp is fucking awesome.
IT CAN JUMP OVER MOUNTAINS USING SPLASH FOR FUCKS SAKE!!! :D
I, for one, liked some of the design choices of the terrain I traveled on, and a lot of the gyms were fun to explore. Gen 5 has some crappy pokemon, but it does have some good ones. Braviary, Golurk, Gigalith, Galvantula, Volcarona, Eleketross, Musharna, Sigilyph, Cryogonal, Haxorus, and Hydreigon are a few Gen 5 pokemon that I really liked.
Also, though the Black and White name originally seems like a scapegoat name, it's actually both a shout-out to the symbol yin and yang as well as the overall theme of its story. The antagonist N sees Pokemon as trapped creatures against their will, and their only salvation is to release them. He doesn't realize that some trainers have bonded with their Pokemon and some don't want to leave their trainers; thus, N sees the world in "black and white" in the metaphorical sense. In a way, it's actually the game with deepest name behind it.

Yeah, black & white had some cool pokemon. Chandelure was the best pokemon in gen 5 my opinion. :)

sorry bro XD
And your right Hatchet it would be so awesome if there was a Hoenn remake
this is so true, i kind of stopped playing round about pokemon black and white. i Think its because ruby/saphire is the only one i fully completed, (like caught all the pokemon) and so i was kind of disappointed when they remade gold/silver instead of ruby/saphire...

Hoenn was probably the best pokemon region in the series.

i like the Geb 5 pokemon it's just stunkfish that pissed me off at first but when i saw it's kick ass evolution i instantly recaught one. i feel like N will play a huge roll in Pokemon X and Y and GameFreak is going in deep into the Pokemon dimension. GameFreak stopped making new Pokemon and are putting the new ones with the Old School original All-Stars such as Charizard, Blastiose, and Garyados(don't know if i'm spelling right XD) and other generations of Pokemon, and who knows, it might just be the last Pokemon game where GameFreak might just go out with a bang for all we know. But it's also good for them to try new things and go in deep hardcore.

N was a pretty cool dude. And I think GameFreak is running out of names for the games as well. I mean, x and y version? C'mon.
Also yeah, it might be their last pokemon game for awhile.

So...did you guys like the stuff revealed yesterday? I liked the panda pokemon the most, and i was excited about the customization. The pokedex looked cool and the region bird looked like a region bird. That electric lizard one bugged me though...it looked like it was wearing glasses and it looks sorta like a prevo of Mawile :p but overall i liked them

The axis used in 3-D software. First 3-D main Pokemon game. I squealed when I first heard the title.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does black & white, soul silver & heart gold, and diamond, platnium & pearl count as 3-D?
