The background is great, though, I would suggest keeping the ground the way it is, that way, it can be a clean art style.
Making it too complicated would make the animation less powerful and effective.

Hmm.. good idea. I'll probably just add a bit of gray shading and a fence, idk and leave the rest. thanks for the tip

Not that far so far.. only 25 secs of nonstop animation

Dude.... what was with the theme of it? I guess i totally missed the reference you were making. But i liked the animation. When you used the semi transparent sticks, could you have layered them differently so as not to get that problem where the intersections of the lines appear darker?
