Quote from muttonheadI don't care what the f*cking media says, they're not the reason I want to join the SEALs, even though SEALs do get tons of respect and people definitely look up to them. And from what I've read, you don't know much about Special Forces. If you want an office job, then good for you I don't give a sh*t, I didn't criticise office jobs anyways.
Your freaking retarded if you think everyjob except one in the armed forces is a office job. You act as if the only thing to do after college is sit in a cubicle all day, when in fact there are tons and tons of possibilities depending on your interests and desires.

OR
Go to college, have a ****fest with college girls, have a fun time. Get your diploma, get out, get a good job that's laid back and where you actually have time to yourself to sepnd time with friends/family.
GEE WHICH ONE SOUNDS BETTER, WELL WITH DUH SEALS I CAN CARRY A GUN.
****ing media did their job.
I'll say, if you really believe the carefree, laid back, drinking beer and ****ing everything that moves college stereotype.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not being cynical about the university experience. I honestly expect to have an awesome time there myself. I just couldn't help but notice a bit of irony in your post that needed to be pointed out because I'm an asshole like that.

I feel terrible for Muttonhead.
He's going to realize that being a Navy Seal isn't about shooting at terrorists and blowing the **** out of random objects.
Enjoy your fantasy while you can my friend.

Dude, I have done a lot of research, and watched documentaries about the training they go through and the kinds of missions they go on. And yes, in training they do blow a lot of shit up and get to fire more weapons than anyone else in the U.S. military. What makes you think they don't? Also, they do shoot at terrorists, depending on the mission, why else would they train for 2 and a half years in combat before they are even ready for deployment? Yes, not all missions involve shooting people and blowing things up, but I'm aware of that and they are still awesome missions that the average military grunt would not go on. Not to mention, Navy SEALs are constantly in training and can be deployed at any minute. During that training, they are firing gun and learning more advanced tactics, etc.
Why don't you do some research before calling me out. What I don't get is why you would make those assumptions in the first place. I mean, what do you think the Navy SEALs do?

Oh you have done research? Are you saying that everything I just wrote is wrong? Then tell me what it's really like to be a SEAL.

Right, and where did you research this exactly?
I sincerely doubt you can trust the information you get out of documentaries. For all you know they could've been made by the government, and of course they're going to want to show their military in a positive and appealing light. Even if the government had no connection to the documentaries the information still isn't going to be that reliable. Don't you figure a film maker is going to put more focus on showing interesting footage, not going into all the harsh details about what the military is really about.
And finally, even if your research was 100% factual and reliable, the very fact that you're basing your decision on how much stuff you get to shoot at and blow up shows that you don't have even close to a mature enough mindset to be making a reasonable decision here.
