These niggers. Canada sucks. They're going to get a fight. Even if this has always been the way, the only difference is that now it's official.

Some shit's going to go down if they manage to enforce this.

THEY RAID YER HOUSE AND **** YOUR SISTER.

Either that or they win the court battle allowing ISPs to give names to the government of who downloads shit.

It's bullshit like this that makes me glad I live up in Canada and don't have to worry about it.

This is dumb. I'm so glad this isnt happening in the US, and if they get the isp's to give out names, holy shit I couldn't even imagine how bad that would be.

Yeah, this is nothing new.

Problem is, it's too hard to enforce. If these ever go through, generally it goes for the sites and (possibly) the people actually hosting the stuff rather than the ones downloading them.

I guess I have been downloading music? However I have not heard of anyone I know getting fined for piracy, except for the random court case you hear about in the news every couple of months. Other then that nothing has happened. I have close to 3000 songs and about 50 movies that I have pirated and I have not heard one peep out of the government.

It's not official yet. The Opposition is going to make amendments after summer. It will be official in the fall.

This explains it a little better.
