Cutscenes are mandatory unless you want just gameplay and absolutely no story. That counts for every game.

They should have made an option to watch shorter cut scenes because like you said guest, cut scenes are very important to the plot, but I sure wouldn't want to have to watch a 90 minute cut scene.
