CnC would be well appreciated.
Quote from LobotomizerNow, I don't want to go into detail about the lack of creativity in the armour design, or indeed the complete lack of anatomy and my belief that you just drew armour to simply cover that flaw up (Although it is still painfully obvious)
but honestly, you should probably put more effort into colouring that armour instead of recklessly placing radial gradients on every bit of metal you see. It doesn't work and shows that you're just being plain lazy.
Quote from GrimmtheReaperForgive me if Macromedia Flash doesn't have the appropriate shade of silver. I had to use the gradients to get the appropriate color. And lack of creativity? Who the fuck are you to determine how creative I am being?
This is also for my flash game, which is why the wearer is more or less a stickman. This missing information is my fault, so I will edit to add said info.
Quote from turnstileListen to yourself right now. Loboto is offering you advice and you're just acting all butthurt with the critique. In what way was he saying that the color was wrong. Just because you had a hard time putting effort into something, doesn't make it acceptable if it's still wrong. I don't do art but even I know Radial Gradients are just lazy. There's no respect to the light source regardless of where the armor is.
Quote from LobotomizerQuite frankly, I don't know what you're saying, because the radial gradient is obvious in every shiny white spot in the armour. My point is that you 'coloured' this through rampant use of the gradient tool, which is lazy.
And if you are planning on directing everyone to that armour, then I suppose you plan on everyone noticing your gradient shenanigans.
Atop of that, shall I give you my opinion on the armour? It has no semblance to actual armour. Have you taken reference from other pictures? Do you even know what armour is supposed to look like? It is also plain (fact) and this is why I called you out on your lack of creativity. If I want to go further, I can even say that the angle of the armour is horrendously wrong.
Do you get it now? From what I have seen, you have made a scant effort in drawing, which shows no understanding of the object involved that you are drawing. Get out to google, take reference from how other artists do it or even from real life, put your own artistic touch to it then maybe we will talk about it.
Quote from SmileHow does flash have limited color? Afaik it has all the colors that someone actually needs.
You can just drag that draggy thing in the color mixer and experiment until you get the right shade of whatever.
that thing there.
