I just heard this on the news, actually I heard about it two years ago but thought "Well, that seems a bit extreme" but I just heard it on the news and the building blocks to unify Mexico, Canada and the United States as one whole country has been placed. If this happens it will bring the death of the United States and we will be nothing more than a part of the NAU.
A question to anyone who has read 1984. Doesn't this seem similar to the countries in 1984? I forget the name of the three, but whats happening here is similar to 1984. Supposedly there is going to be a European unification.
Which I had a link, but it was covered by Lou Dobbs and the best I could find was an article from 2006.
We are so ****ing doomed.

1. This won't happen any time soon, because of people like you who think this is a terrible plan.
2. I don't see what the problem is.

The problem is that when the countries unite, the Constitution will be thrown out and the currency will be changed. This will result in the restriction of freedoms essential to human advancement.

Exactly. The new currency is already planned and will be called the "Amero" or something like that.Quote from AshThe problem is that when the countries unite, the Constitution will be thrown out and the currency will be changed. Unification of the countries, no constitution and if Europe and the rest of the world does this we'll have a one world government.

You make it sound like if more than one country gets together suddenly we'll throw every right we have out the window. There's not a shot in hell the United States would join such an alliance if it compromised what this country was founded on.
Just because it would have Canada and Mexico doesn't mean there would be a police state.

Yes. Considering that America isn't actually trying to throw everything we were founded on out the window right now anyways.

I know of any Canadian or American who would agree to such a thing. I can understand certain unifactions on trade etc. but the way our governments work is very different. Also, there has been past conflicts to make them the way they are today as independent nations.
Hell, Canada has a hard time keeping itself unified with the French around...

Hey, if the US adds itself to Canada and Mexico, at least the average IQ will end up at a middle-ground.
Also, adding Canada and Mexico to the US will get the average weight back down to normal levels for humans.
It could be good.

Point is, this won't happen.
Why the **** would we want to join up with Mexico anyway?
I'm just saying, it's not like it would just become some dictatorship, with a supercountry that large, the billions of people would just revolt. And the constitution wouldn't disappear, you're acting like suddenly we'd all become slaves to some canadian oppresor.
Not all politicians are evil, miniman. You just have had the misfortune to learn about politics during one of the worst administrations in our country's history. There isn't some paper that every congressman signs that says they have to go against what the people they represent say.

I refuse to believe that anyone is taking this seriously.
