a few days ago I was going through a shoegaze recommendation chart and listened to a random Slowdive song without thinking it was anything special, then moved on, but after further evaluation I actually really like Souvlaki.

I had to listen to it a few times before I got into them. i'd listen to like a song or 2 and be like "meh." And then one time it just hit me and I realised they were actually really good.

I've been listening to 69 Love Songs (a gigantic album) and am really liking it. Even more so because Stephin Merritt is such a character. Watching interviews of him is like watching someone interview eeyore, it's hilarious.
