So i came up with a new minigame today called spearton pong :P so the idea is that you have alot of speartons on shield wall, while the enemy tries to send one spearton past your army. You must use shield bash to keep them from getting through
Rules: Each player has a decided amount of speartons, usually 18 for 3 ranks (can be 12 or 24, depending on how easy or hard you want it to be) that they can arrange in any formation. Once in formation, they have to stay in shield wall mode. The opponent must try to get one of their speartons past the enemy army. You must only use the shield bash ability to keep them from getting past. A round is over when either you kill the enemy spearton, or the enemy spearton gets through. Take turns doing this, one person attacking and one defending. But i have not yet tried both going at once, which probably requires alot more micro.
Things to note:
Shield bash stun time is about 3 or 4 seconds, while the recharge time is 6.
The range of shield bash extends one unit or so up and down, and slightly behind the spearton, as well as in front.
Having multiple spearton bash does more damage, but increases the risk of them getting through later.
spreading your army out a little bit (able to fit a spearton between each rank) makes microing a bit easier, and you waste less bashes by not selecting wrong units.
It is actually possible to kill the enemy spearton with good micro and timing.
