MGS4 is certainly a great game, and it's obvious because of all of the amazing reviews it is getting. However, I personaly don't think it is for the casual gamer who is just interested in killing some people. The install, cut-scenes, and short amount of game play alone make me dislike the game. I will say that the cinematics in MGS4 are simply amazing. So if you are a fan of the series and you don't mind the cut scene length, then im sure that you will love the game. I however think that it makes a better movie then a game, because of the stunning story.

GoW2 is not just GoW with new characters. The gameplay is supposed to be more intense, with you killing more enemies. While GoW doesn't have the greatest story line, it also isn't one that will make you cringe while you are playing.

If you want cinematics and a solid story line then MGS4 would be for you.

If you like playing a game casually and an amazing multiplayer experiance then go with GoW2.
