Should we declare our permanent injury? For the sake of each other knowing the extent of each gladiator's weak points?

Capital idea! yes, you both should do that for the sake of clarity

Bl.An.C. Permanent injury
-Inability to claim weapons that materialize on his arms.
-Armor is weakened from the massive explosions and Walden's fury.
-His system will malfunction from time to time but not extensively. Just a few seconds and will not happen very often.

The tournament was Hostel all along?
...is Hostel even the right comparison? No clue! Good luck, worthy competitors!

I think it's a combination of Cube, The Matrix and...uh...Hunger Games?Quote from The StrongestThe tournament was Hostel all along?

Anyways, I am hyped as usual but I think Loboto-lobster has this in the bag, unless ErrorSlender pulls a sleeper hit.

the better question is: should a loosely connected plot centered about fighting for no reason, deserve a story as old as time

I'm leaning toward The Monastery of Merriah for a more vanilla battlefield. Cosmic Abyss feels iffy, and I'm not really sure how any one character can get onto the ledge while freefalling at terminal velocity without splatting themselves, or how the characters can fight without a means of horizontal movement.
(Not to mention if the walls are of earth, Kalena could conceivably force in a pillar to stand on.)

That's true.
So shall we agree on the Monastery then?

Yes, if you don't mind.

Then monastery we go. Can you say Kalena's Permanent Injury?

Actually, in the suggestion of mine, the wRHGs had fallen off not into a pit, but some sort of... Well, cosmic abyss (sorry to borrow your term, Hewitt, but you nailed it down better than I did).
Cosmic Abyss, as in an endless falling into an infinity. There might not even be earthen walls, since this isn't a pit,but rather an infinitely long abyss they're falling into.
If it helps, try to envision some middle age flat earth theorist's idea of the end of the world; the walls might be of rock, of water, of nothing but air, even.
Potential Tragic End (Click to Show)

Chopped off left arm. (Sort of mild compared to yours, isn't it?)
That would remind me, Hewitt is it possible if I reattach said arm while retaining its uselessness and achieve the injury requirement? Or is that a no-no?

Bl.An.C.'s combat ability is halved since most of his weapons require his arms fully functional. I'd say that it would still be within the injury requirement, a severed arm is an injury. Albeit a very severe one.

Did you both just try to downplay your own injuries in favor of the other's?

Yeah I think you've explained it better than I could interpret it. You started by telling me about how it was a "hole to tartarus" and so I envisioned it as some kind of earthen pit. But yeah it could be anything.
Lobotomizer, if it makes you feel better, the walls of the pit don't have to be earthen. If that is your only point of contention, then we will gladly omit it from official record in favor of "unknown nigh-ethereal substance"
