Better yet, make Jessica Simpson nude. That will defiantly make me believe.

I kinda lost interest in this project so I don't really feel like modelling the accessories like the hopper, co2 tanks, ASA, ect.
I went paintballing yesterday and just for the heck of it put a mcdonalds apple pie box on my barrel and played with it for a few rounds. Then that made me want to make a shroud for my gun..

Below are VERY ROUGH concept pics of the shroud I will be making out of sheet metal. Yes it looks like shit, its a concept. Once I make it in real life I'll draw it with all the curves, creases and screws.

It's inspired by the m203 setup for the m16 rifle. Once I finish it Ill buy a rail off ebay and screw it to the bottom so I can install a lazer, flashlight, or handle.

Anyone know where I can find some thin sheet metal?

You probably want some really thin aluminium because that much metal is going to add some serious weight to your gun. Also, I'm looking forward to your tutorial if you are still working on it.

Mega bump from almost 2 years ago.

So I've finished the paintball marker and modeled out some cosmetic upgrades that some dude sent me.

Gun was done in 3dsmax like a year ago.
All parts with weaver / picatinny rails were done in Autocad 2000.
Rendered with mental ray (in 3ds).

Within the next week I'll be doing a m79 grenade launcher for my buddy's hl2 mod, I can try and record the modeling if anyone is interested and post it on jewtube.

Awesome work man, I never really modeled a high poly gun.

and looking back at your old work, <3 <3 <3 <3

you are awesomeee.

tho you changed alot of stuff on the paintball gun, are you going to make it different from the r/l gun? because I think the r/l gun looks more badass :D

****ing Epic! Great job! Now you should showcase it in an animation with some kick ass photorealistic lighting.

I recommend just panning the camera around it while changing it form wireframe to solid mesh to final materialised product.

Epic!

I wish I had something new to post mrpancake.. sigh, so much time wasted doing nothing. Laziness is a disease.

fnx for bumping this, gotta start modeling again.
