Now as many know, we all use 10% of our brain at a time, right?
So I have been wondering, what would happen if we used the other 90% too?
Maybe this triggers the 'power' that psychics or mediums have..
Or could it trigger something as actual levitation, or maybe even some sort of telekinesis?
I'd like to hear your thoughts on this.
Superpowers?

Yes, I do believe that there is more to the brain than that we use everyday.
I don't know what this may be, maybe it has something to do with mind reading.
Every person has had some events that may seem ackward. (In my case, it was 3 weeks ago, we were chilling outside and playing some cards, then my friend asked me that if I could guess the card he was holding he'd give me 5 euro, so I guessed, and it was that card. We tried it 5 times , I guessed it right 4 times in a row and it really freaked my friends and myself out.)
Also: yerr powers will get stimulated if you stare at my avatar for long enough.

Id seen some clips about the early early days. Were there was a woman who could move things with her mind. (telekenisis?) And they used monitors and that kinda stuff, and said that as well. that we use 10% of our brains or something, but she used much more to be able to move that stuff.
Everytime she did it, everytime rose, her heartbeats, the heat etc. but yea =| was a documentary, don't know if its true,
@try: dude lawl. that's a card trick, that's no superpower. I did card tricks for a long time as well, that's easy they have there ways

Lol, superpowah avvy.
haha
I have something like this too. Maybe you should try it out:
Whenever I draw four cards, and I hold them backwards, so I never see them, and guess how many are black and how many are red, everytime I tried it, I was correct.
Other number of cards don't work...
4 is supahpowah numbah?
You did it 4 times in a row!
Holy crap dude!
COUNT TO FOUR AND BE RELEASED FROM THE STUPIDITY OF 10%!!!!
haha

Actually, we don't even use 10% of our brain at all, we use more like 5%.
And no, its proven to be impossible even with increased brain power to move any physically, mentally.

no the other 90% is dedicated to stuff like moving your bones, sending signals, stimulation (yeah, that kind) and absorbing blood. so, basically, sending signls =/

"Using" 5-10% of your brain is kind of an odd statement, given that nobody seems to define what we're using that percentage for.
There are 6 sections of the brain that all carry out major functions, such as interpreting sensory information, involuntary and voluntary movements, etc. Given all the information we need to process to carry out minute tasks, I'm pretty sure we use more than just 5-10% of our brains.
We're obviously not running at 100%, but I doubt we would get superpowers if we were able to.

The idea that we are not using 90% of our brain is the result of gross misunderstandings.
Firstly, the myth stemmed from the observation that while carrying out mild to moderate stimulus, from watching TV to discussing politics, people tend to use only 10% of their brainpower on average. What this means is not that only 10% of our entire brains is being used, but that our brains aren't being used very much. It's not like that 10% is showing up red while the rest shows up grey. What a brain scan would show is that many parts of our brain are in the yelow, and only a few in the orange.
What happens when we use more than 10%?
More areas are lit up darker. That's all.
It's not as if there are any large sections of the brain that are there for unknown reasons. We use almost every part of our brain. The parts that we don't use work both as buffers and back-ups (If a small part is damaged, they can take over it's job, and if we are doing some intense memorization or thinking, they can be used o help with that)
Suppose for a moment that we found some odd purple mass in someone's brain that was itendified as part of the brain and nothing harmful. Lets say that we had now idea how to activate it through normal thought, but one person suddenly activated it through meditation.
Would that purple mass open up the gateway to new abilities, such as the ability to conjour fire or move objects or read other's thoughts solely by the use of that mass?
To understand why this is far-fetched, lets squash some psuedo-science and schoolyard tall tales.
Terms like "psychokinetic energy" and the like are the result of things like X-Men comics and the Sci-Fi Channel. in order to create fire, a person needs a way to create the heat, and physics doesn't allow things like heat to just spontaneously arise, let alone be controlled by some distant source.
In order to move things with our minds, we'd have to be able to project some sort of force, and the ability to manage force with thought alone flies against all the laws of physics.
Frankly, all superpowers that would be mental in nature are impossible.
Lastly, to wrap this up, I'd like for any superpower proponents to provide some example that would allow such an ability to arise in genetic code through evolution.

Well, I don't deny their possibilities, but I haven't seen a reason to really believe in them.
I do, however believe that the mind can be used to influence your future.

Wasnt there some kind of free will thing that you didn't believe in? Never mind.
I meant, that if you constantly put your energy towards one goal, you'll gain it. That's why all those "ANTI-X" rallies fail, because they put all their energy into the bad shit.
