That would be cool. I do plan to have explosives, so theoretically you could create a cannon, though a handgun might be too small to make.

That gives me an idea, still. If you had the elements in the game where you could create your own guns, like making the handle, the slot for the bullet(s), the barrel, fill the back of the barrel with gunpowder, blow up the gunpowder and shoot the bullet.

The gunpowder bit is slightly out of hand.
This isn't a Powder game, this is strategic ragdoll killing, or however you want to call it.

Also, this may have been suggested before, but how about a multiple ragdoll setting, perhaps for later levels.

Definitely multiple ragdolls.

While there may not be gunpowder, there will certainly be explosive objects that will have the same effect.

Cool random news: the guy who made Fantastic Contraption asked to get in on the beta for Dejeweled... :)

Oh nice. That's some really good news. That game is pretty popular.

Also, may I point out..

... but I would like to start this game in the fairly near future. Meaning: we haven't started yet! We need to solidify the design first...

I thought you have started though.

EDIT: Oshit, Exilement got a name change. I didn't even notice :o

I think the post you quote was written a while ago...

In terms of coding the engine, that has been started, with the Engine Prototype 01. It's been a while since I worked on that, however. As far as continuing development on the engine and actual game, you could say that we are currently in negotiations. Hopefully I can say more about that sooner than later.

I'd imagine the game is Interactive Buddy. You can find it on pretty much any site.

Quick update: I just got an account on Twitter. If you follow me there you'll be able to get fresh updates from me several times a day.

And perhaps you'll get an idea of what I'm doing instead of working on Dejeweled... :p

Not yet.

Inspiration for Dejeweled? Maybe a Rube Goldberg mode to the game...

You should make a download feature on it! I'd love to keep the game from the prototypes I've seen! Oh, and when do you think it wil be done, I still can't wait 'till it's done.
