You mean like a power generator? With wires attached to it, it generates motors, but can also shock the ragdoll...?

Yes, but only if the rag doll happens to touch the glowing center. Basically: Wire cube outline = safe, but glowing orange center = SHOCK THE CRAP OUT OF HIM. and if it's hit with enough force it could esplode and it could power stuff.

Yeah, what if one of his arms were touching the wire, and his other arm was touching some generator type thing, and power it. Transfer power through his body.

Ooh! New idea! How about a rag doll (as an unlockable) that you can control with the arrow keys or WASD and attach shit to it and swing it around to do even more damage. Maybe a kind of materiel that constantly burns, but is still walk-onable? Like hot coals?

I think that's a nice idea, added on to that, how about the stick figures limbs can be disembarded, and a weapon has easier disembardment if it was a sword or big hammer

I think the word you're looking for is "dismembered"
And not to discourage ideas but I think after 108 pages and over 2 years of development we've already thoroughly considered one as basic as that.

So when is your break that you're taking going to be over? I'd be willing to see any progress that you guys have made over the summer vacation.

Ah, thanks for thinking of me. Don't worry about it though. I may have some news soon that could positively affect the timeline for this project, though it's too early to tell yet...Quote from ScatManAxcho, I wish I could send you some cash. Sadly, my hellhole of a room has eaten all my cash.
I will be gone next week, but I intend to have some new prototypes by September, at least.Quote from DevourSo when is your break that you're taking going to be over? I'd be willing to see any progress that you guys have made over the summer vacation.
I have realized that a lot of the games I plan to make depend on me getting further with the Dejeweled physics engine anyway, so it does make it a bit more of a priority now. And I'm getting better at time management and such, so we'll see how things go. :)

By the way, I'm curious what you all think of this article: Flash Love Letter (2009) Part 2
Especially Prospect/Exilement.
I expect Dejeweled to be more like the latter. :)
Especially Prospect/Exilement.
Many Flash developers that stumble upon a great gaming service run screaming from success. In their minds, they made Flash games as a quick creative burst. Flash devs do not expect to spend months, even years of their life supporting a turbulent and demanding community of fans.
I expect Dejeweled to be more like the latter. :)

@the letter, it was informational but was so long i got through the first quarter of it :)
@the game, i got a few new ideas, may be at the beginning of the game you can pick your sticks color, making this idea possible, (i dont know if the stick figure dying was a suggestion already)how about if you die(if you can die) have the camera shake like it was a hard hit then your stick turns black, when he does that he'll turn ragdoll, here's an example of what im talking about(the ragdoll sucks but you know what i mean):
(this is an effect suggestion)
