Lawl, finally got it, i finally convinced my dad to allow me to get it, and my mom found time this week even after my surgeory ( dun worry its minor i aint gna die ;) ) i finally got my electricn guitar, altho my dad still doesnt know how it expensive it was, or if i gt it, im arab and from bahrain, so our currency is BD, the guitar itself is 340 BD, which is about 1000 American Dollars, its very high quality, its a Moser MMi Trans Black, bought it along with a Randal KH-15 Amp ( Kirk Hammet Signature Series ) a strap and a cable, along with its case, the total added up 450 BD which is 1200 Dollars, according to my calculations, so yea, this guitar should serve me well for years.
List: ( incase u dun wanna read the above lol )
Moser MMi Trans Black
Moser MMi Case
Randal KH-15 Amp
Levys Strap ( SKull Design )
Planet Wave Instrument Cable

this is the guitar, except its black, with fret markes. Btw, if ur looking for a gutiar, i suggest u check out real dedicated companies, that make them properley such as Dean Guitars, or Mosers Customs, Yamaha is good, but it also does other things, so its not the best, but its still a good company, so you dont have to look much.
And Keep this in mind:
Better Quality and Manufacturing, Makes it Sound better, but means u have too look after it more, since its made of good wood, so dont just start shredding so suddenley.
Cheap Quality and Manfacturing, Sounds bad, get out of tune easily, but you can wam and scrape your pick all day, but it will wear ut quickly.
Btw anyone hear play guitar, and listen to heavy music (Metal, Hard Rock, Metalcore, Thrash ) ?
You can Discuss and Debate anything related to guitar and music.

Do you have any experience playing guitar before spending all of this money on stuff? Because its NOT easy to start playing... Takes a ton of practice and time to learn how. I've been playing for years and still am not as good as I think I should be :/ (not that I suck for your information.... just thought by the amount of time I practice that I would be like Yngwie good ((though thats wishful thinking)) :P )

Happy ? it looks blue-ish purple, but its actually black, thats cuz of the crappy pic quality, and for audix satisfaction, i took this just now, and it 1 AM.
Edit: yes i do have experience, i dont think i would actually spend this amount of my moms mney, cuz im not a spoiled fag, thats wants t act like true guitarists, i have played about 2 years, mostly in school, playing acoustic, and now going to start electric, and btw, acoustic is harder then electric, the better u are at acoustic, the more u accel in electric, i have recentley just started playing again 6 months ago, i quite for about 3 months, school and shiz, my mom said i should take lessons, i did, it took months to convince my dad, and my mom, my guitar mentor says im god enough to get an electric. So yea, im pretty confident about this.

I learned guitar by myself and had no troubles learning it.
Now I do take lessons cause I want to improve further.
I've got 3 electric guitars : one fender strat sunburst model wich was my starter
, one Ibanez gsa-60 wich was really a bad choice, I still regret it. And now I have a Custom Yamaha AES 500, wich is a really really good one.

mkay, why the hell are you learning electric on a 1000$ guitar. also by acoustic i am assuming you are talking about classical, and if not your a dumbass and if you are your still a dumbass,
because you cant classify one as harder than the other its two different styles of play.
recording or it never happend :D

lol paco, im just saying that electric is easier play, stating my own opinion, and yes i know its 2 different styles, and yes by acoustic i mean classical, and yea, and in my country i believe there are only two shops, that sell decent-excellent guitar, the one a went to was really far from where i lived, the second was even farther, i happened to go to the one the prbably sells the best guitars in the country, and i really had no choice, all of there guitars are expensive, trust me, it was either this one, or the 750 Bd Guitars ( 1500 dollars ) if, anyway i just setted up the amp, and started playing a few licks, im not gna start recording yet, it sounds awesome as ever, im gna try and look up some tabs, and start practicing them, well keep discussing, btw, i know its expensive for a begginer but i think within a year i should be good, i have past experience so im guessing its going to be easier. Anyway, if u have any advice on what songs i should start on that would really help.

nice guitar, man.
i play electric to, and i think it is easier than acoustic, just because there is more things you can learn. I ****ING ENVY YOU. my amp blew out just at random and i still cant find a new one...
my setup is just:
epiphone les paul junior,
ibanez starter guitar,
and an old crappy ibanez amp. (the one that blew out.)
strings: earny ball slinkies.
picks: a mix of hard and medium fender picks.

My gear:

Custom Zakk Wylde Epiphone Les Paul
*I got it used, which was better. One of the volumes has a pull out knob that changes the tone and the EMG-HZs were replaced with better EMGs.

'69 Vox; above is Super Lynx, closest I could find, I'm not sure
*This isn't my exact guitar, but the closest Vox I could find to it. Mine's a '69 Vox, but I'm not sure the exact model. Got it used for like $70. And mine has a red in center, black on edge sunburst that looks really nice.

'49 Gibson ES-175
*The one in the picture is a '55, but I was just looking for an example. Got it from my grandpa after he died. Still an amazing guitar. Pretty much just needed new strings.

Crate 15w Amp
*I'm regret getting this now, because now I wish I would've gotten a Line 6. Better quality and it would've been cheaper for a larger amp :\ Anyway, it's been fine, hasn't messed up or anything, so I can't really complain.
That's pretty much all of my equipment. Trying to talk my dad into letting me get an electronic drumset.
EDIT: Oh, strings. Thick GHSs. Zakk Wylde Customs :P I love 'em.

I got a $1400 cream white Gibson Explorer but you don't see me making a thread about it and preaching everyone the basics of a guitar.

I wanted either a explorer or a kelly, and decided on a kelly for the floyd rose.

Wow guys nice gear, and yea, lol this thread isnt just about my stuff, i said u can discuss or debate about any guitar/music related things, anyways, started some real practice tday, tryed playing a short acoustic piece on the electric, sounds better with distortiong, especially the end. Srry bout ur amp Flashman, i hate it when these things happen, they happen for no apparent reason sometimes, its very frustrating.

I'm hoping to buy a guitar when I get some money at the end of summer. I will probably end up getting a really shitty/cheap one because a. I have never played guitar before and b. I have no money.
Jul 1, 2008 5:12 PM #173634
lol if ur going to get a shitty one then ur going to have hard time playing, it'll get out of tune, and since uve never really played, u wont know how to tune, so the songs u want to play will sound like acsolute shit, i suggest u take some lessons first, it can get extremeley boring but it will do u good.
