He then felt something burning inside him, he blacked out. Armand woke up on the surface bewildered at how he got there. After returning to America, he tried to control his powers. However, when a mugger approached him one night, he blacked out. This time he woke up in an ambulance covered in blood, but not his. People saw what happened, and soon enough, Armand's incident was on the news. One night, soldiers were sent to his house to try to take custody of him. Armand once again went into unconsciousness. He woke up in the middle of the woods hearing soldiers approaching. He successfully hid from them. Since then, he's been on the run, travelling continent to continent. However, he's not alone, in fact... he's never alone...
Demo:
AUDIO RECORDING FROM MISSION 6174-1
[Sgt. Briggs] Command, we're at the destination of the target.
[Command] Roger that Foxtrot, breach when ready.
[Sgt. Briggs] Roger, over and out. Alright men, we go in quickly and quietly.
[Cpl. Jones] What if things don't go as planned?
[Sgt. Briggs] Backup is right around the corner. Ready?
[Cpl. Rockwell] Ready.
[Cpl. Jones] Ready.
[Pvt. Haynes] Ready.
[Sgt. Briggs] Breaching. (Door busted open)
[Sgt. Briggs] Check your corners
[Cpl. Rockwell] I have a really bad feeling about this.
[Cpl. Jones] If he does anything stupid I'm blowing a hole in his head.
[Pvt. Haynes] Command said we need him alive.
[Cpl. Jones] I can't promise that I won't kill him.
[Sgt. Briggs] Quiet. I hear something. (Screams)
[Cpl. Jones] What the fuck was that?
[Pvt. Haynes] It came from upstairs.
[Sgt. Briggs] Let's move. (Footsteps) (More screaming)
[Cpl. Rockwell] This is not good.
[Sgt. Briggs] He's in this room. Ready?
[Cpl. Jones] Ready.
[Pvt. Haynes] Ready.
[Cpl. Rockwell] ...Ready.
[Sgt. Briggs] Breaching. (Door busted open)
[Sgt. Briggs] Get down on the ground!
[Target] Get away! Please! Just get out of here, for your own good!!!
[Sgt. Briggs] I said get down on the ground!
[Cpl. Jones] Get down! (loud thump)
[Pvt. Haynes] Did he just... pass out?
[Cpl. Jones] Who cares? Just restrain him.
[Unknown Voice] You don't belong here. Get. Out.
[Cpl. Jones] What the fuck is that?!
[Command] Foxtrot what is going on? (Sounds of gunfire, yelling, and screaming)
[Command] We're sending backup right away!
[Sgt. Briggs] Hurry! It's killing my-GAH
[Command] Foxtrot, Foxtrot do you read me?!
[Unknown Voice] Listen to me, if you send anymore men after us, we'll kill you.
[Command] Who is this?!
[Unknown Voice] This is what happens when you don't leave us alone. (Sgt. Briggs screaming in pain)
Voice Diary #32: Foxtrot was dead as well as the backup that was sent. They died due loss of blood caused by dismemberment. The target was last seen at the oak woods, we've sent a search party there to see if we can find him... or it. Witnesses say that the target's unconscious body was being carried by a large unknown creature while entering the woods.... I hope we find it before it causes anymore damage...

Demons, ghosts, mutants strikes me as being three very distinct things. He can spawn whatever? Or are you saying that you're not going to pin any actual label as to what he spawns.
He's in a coma after the first spawning? Does that mean that he spawns them all at once? If it's one at a time, then how does he spawn the next one?
What causes the spawning? Sense of danger? Does he do it of his own volition? Whenever the creature(s) decide they feel like spawning?
What can the creatures do? What are they, even? You only describe what they did to trained military personnel, and even then you only described the aftermath, not the actual process.
Anyways, I think I could like Armand, but there are too many blanks to fill in for me to even form a first impression.
EDIT: On closer inspection (see:reread), your demo didn't really give any insight into how your character works in a battle. Just that dismemberment is a primary way of winning.

:O for some reason, I am absolutely in love with this character!! Can't explain, but I really like it. Few things though.
-Really liked the demo and the way it seemed like an actual script for a recording, but we need an example of your description skills, so maybe add a second demo that portrays Armand showing off his skills.
-How old/approximately tall is he? It helps with description of characters from the other end, and maybe add some distinguishable features? Such as red hair, golden eyes, or something along those lines. Eye color would help a lot. So maybe just a teensy bit more description of appearance?
-How fast does he heal? Are there any side effects of spawning a creature? How many CAN he spawn at one time? How good of a shot is he? What happens if Armand was attacked while a creature was summoned? Or does he TURN into the creature?
-Now a more personal request: is his voice scratchy? Clear? Some characters have a different vocal pattern than others, so I just wanna ask.
I really like it though, and if I wasn't in this tournament, I would definitely be your first competitor.

1. There is a vast variety of things he can spawn, they just all fall under the categories of demons (ie: devils, dragons), ghosts (ie: spirits) and mutants (ie: humanoid monsters) . There is no exact, pin-point, type of creatures he can spawn.
2. During the process of the spawning of the creature, he passes out. He can only spawn one at a time. To spawn another the first creature must return to the original body.
3. The abilities of the creatures depends on what the creature is. I thought the aftermath and sounds of gunfire would give you an idea about what that specific creature was capable of.
I hope that filled in some blanks. I apologize for not answering those questions to begin with. Thank you!

1. I'll see if I can update the character.
2. He is an average man ( 28 years old, 5'10, 155 lbs.)
3. The description mentions he has dark brown hair, but his eyes are maroon.
4. His healing is almost instantaneous, the only side effects of spawning is an intense burning feeling and then passing out.
5. The process of spawning is basically like asexual reproducing/budding. (it's disturbing, I know) It happens in a matter of seconds, unless Armand tries to stop the process, in that case it will be delayed for as long as he can delay it.
6. He speaks with a medium-pitched concerned/pleading voice. His sentences are usually jumbled mutters, ramblings, and yells.
I'm glad you like the character! Also, I'm sorry I didn't answer your questions in the first place. Thank you!
If anyone has a question about Armand or anything else, I'll be happy to answer!

Don't double post I know your new but listen take a stroll to the rules, I would be happy to guide you there.
Anyway cool character, what are the specifics on the monsters and such. Are they multiple colors (rainbow werewolf is attacking) or are all of them the exact same color? Do your summoning have anything in common? (This question is asking if the monsters and such have anything in common like are they all see through? Do they attack in the same way?) Do they have names or anything special regarding personality, appearance, weakness's, and abilities? (Like for instance if you spawn a ghost it's weakness will be anti ghost but if you spawn a werewolf its weakness will be silver weaponry)

1. By update I meant editing the post, not double posting, but thanks for the advice!
2. All creatures have a gray color to their skin/scales/hide/fur/hue
3. Demons are ignorant reptilians and will attack with power and force, they're tough exterior protects them however the can be stopped by attacking them under the unprotected chin. Ghosts are intelligent and fight through other people (possession), any anti ghost tools/powers can stop them. Mutants are humans/animals with distinct deformities (ie: claws, horns, wings, etc) they can be stopped by getting hit in vital areas (however, some do a better job at protecting them than others).
4. The creatures don't have names, but some can talk.

So... When Armand is killed, the creatures will die? But considering his healing factor, he's like...immortal? Also, mind "describing" the process of spawning? I have a hard time imagining. I think of it like an arm/wings/something grows out of his body and slowly comes out. Is that right?
Jul 5, 2013 9:15 AM #1026538
Armand can't die because the creatures won't let him die. As for the process of spawning well, it's not pretty, but here ya go:
The entire process takes about 5-30 seconds long depending on the size of the creature (Ghosts could spawn in a split second). Whenever Armand is in a life threatening situation, one of the many creatures inside him will "crawl out" of his torso as defense mechanism. Think of it as asexual reproducing, or budding. The creature's appendages begin to form out of his stomach, then it's head will form out of his chest, and so on. While this is happening, Armand is feeling an intense burning pain inside. While the creature is leaving his body, Armand will begin to slowly lose consciousness. This is because there is a link between the creature and Armand. If the creature dies outside of Armand's body, Armand dies while the creature dissolves into ashes. However, the other creatures inside Armand will not let this happen and resurrect Armand, waking him back up. As for the creature that dies, it is resurrected inside Armand's body (there is no process for this, it just happens). Unless the creature eliminates the threat, then it will crawl back inside Armand (that takes as long as it did leaving Armand).
To sum it up, Armand gives birth every time he's in danger....

Only 1 monster at the time? Oh. "Every time he's in danger.... "

I have a question for shock. What kinds of demons and mutants does he spawn usually? Like, is there a main one that comes out most? I really like this character and I want to know more!
Jul 5, 2013 7:52 PM #1026871
The main demon he'll spawn out is a large, horned reptile (looks like an alligator) with sharp claws and teeth. The main mutant he'll spawn is a human with large blades replacing his hands and great agility. But keep in mind, Armand can't control WHO he spawns. It's just that those are the main ones that appear.
