Someone suggest me some. Please free ones.
For reference, I think jetpack joyride is decent.
Preferably 2D.
Thanks.

You should get Fun Run. It's free and it's an awesome game.
You should also get Subway Surfer.

Get a Sega Genesis emulator and download Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
Then get an SNES emulator and get Megaman 2, Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Earthbound and Super Marios Bros
Then get any Gameboy emulator and download whatever Pokemon game was released for it.
That's like 2 years worth of entertainment right there. Buy an emulator if you have to, it's worth it.

Psshhh...all those games are pretty common, I've got a few gems:
1 to 50 - Speed tapping buttons 1 to 50
4-Player Reactor - reflexes game that can hold up to 4 players. Fun for the whole family.
A Story of a Band - Rock Band Sim. Start off with crappy members with no skillz and a mediocre producer and work your way up as you rock through the ages.
Beat Hazard - If you haven't played it on the XBox yet, basically it's a twitch shooter where the enemies, powerups, and boss patterns are based on music from your phone
Cut the Rope / Cut the Rope Experiments / Cut the Rope Time Travel - The only casual game series I will mention here for the sole reason that it's addictive as a puzzler and often times isn't as taxing in that you could experiment and eventually find a way. It doesnt have alot of stumpers so if you suck at puzzle games but still enjoy their allure, there you have it.
Devil's Attorney - turn-based Lawyer game where you use various underhanded tactics to try and get some guilty motherfuckers out of prison. They pay you money to buy stuff which increases your ego which gives you more powers. very funny too.
Doors and Rooms - Now i know room escapes have been done to death, but if you're getting at most ONE. Get this. nothing else. They really went far and beyond to try and give the genre a professional feeling.
Dungelot - fun roguelike puzzler with 5 classes with 4 abilities each. try to descend a randomized bottomless dungeon while fighting monsters and shit
Falling Fred / Running Fred / Skiing Fred - basically, you're fred. and death is chasing you. Much more well done than your average "chase" games.
Finding Teddy - Pt click adventure where you play as a little girl trying to get her teddy bear back and you end up in this dream/nightmare-like dimension. It's pretty simplistic but I would just get it for the art. Fucking amazing spritework and narrative/atmosphere
Indianan Stone - you know that scene in indiana jones where a giant boulder chases our hero? You play as the boulder.
Meganoid 1 and 2 - hard as hell platformers. moreso the sequel.
Mini Dash - hard as hell platformer with a cartoony slant. Also comes in PC form but you better have a strong graphics card
Pax Britannica - one-button multiplayer arcade shooter where you try to take enemy ships down. the novelty comes with the fact that all you can do is build units. your units fight other ships on their own and its just fucking cute to watch. ALSO comes in 4 players
Punch Quest - retroactive endless punchathon with tons of abilities and unlockables. pretty funny too, im pretty sure its parodying tons of shit
Quell Memento - Sliding Zen puzzler where you delve into an old man's mind as u sort through his memories.
Rico - platformer that's pretty nice looking and has tight controls
Shelter - A card-playing zombie-themed game. seriously
Sling It! - endless shooter where you play as a kid riding a giant slingshot as you attempt to take on corporations of polluter robots
Tennis in the Face - angry birds with a tennis skin. funner than it sounds

Puzzle & Dragons. Pure awesomeness, HUGE hit here in Hong Kong. Everywhere, you can see a ton of people playing it.
Just look it up.
Nuff said.

Speed Racing seems addictive, too, if you'd like. It's free.

The two I play the most:
Star Traders RPG: A very decent and deep RPG that puts you as the captain of a space vessel. free for initial game, elite version (basically an expansion pack) is 3.99$
Catan: a direct port of "The Settlers of Catan" board game. Will set you back about 3 bucks.
