I have been playing many Real Time Strategies, and I noticed something that would really spice up this game.
The addition of a powerful unit for both chaos an order, a siege unit.
A hulking mechanical unit with massive damage, and area of effect. But slow an vulnerable to close range attackers (especially fast ones).
With a maxed out range but also a minimum range which gives it its weakness.
I even planned out what the opposing versions could be, chaos would be suited to a fire catapult, while humans always get a fire ballistae.
The siege unit would be located right before the giant, with a similar gold cost (around 1250), but a massive mana cost for the fire (500 mana or so)
If this addition was made, it would add many more possibilities for countering different armies. As well as add more use to currently almost useless units (such as the ninja, which is only solid for killing magi kills against a professional player).

but based on the giants health, an low damage per second, the giant would be considered a defensive tank unit, and nothing else.

i dont think catapults and ballistas would be suited for this game the only thing you need to destroy is a statue there arent other buildings around you need to blow up^^

Well siege units are mainly considered so for their high damage per second, being able to dish out more damage then any other unit plus aoe
Plus these units would be crucial to destroying a statue.

Ummmm, magikill can deal huge aoe damage if used right. So are magikill our siege units technically?

yes but its super hi cost would render it impossible to get until late game (1250 gold, 500 mana)
its would rival the giant in strength, but its has big weaknesses just like everything else, a few heavily armored speartons could punch through an kill it that late in the game

hm this is interesting i agree but 1 thing i think a catapult is weaker than a ballistae although maybe do something similar but more....magic like to fit chaos and u need 1 for the elemental empire i have given this idea some though as well but never confirmed it im thinking along the lines of building it with miners and with requirements(more like wonders then again im probably getting ahead of my-self)and secondary siege units something like this for order :
THE COLOSSUS(Greek mythology) A HOLLOW SUIT OF ARMOR(with a upon reaching higher level)sword and its bigger than a giant SERVES AS A LIVING SIEGE UNIT ACTS AS A combination of swordwrath style giant body and spearton soul/Armour(idk lol)REQUIREMENTS must have a magikill(sacrifice) and have the middle tower plus a small giant(to sacrifice) also can make multiples.(upgrades can be bough from silver colossus and gold colossus us (idk for order)OR A HELIOPOLIS TOWER (for those of u that don't know this is a siege machine used in Greek/Romans times) lets see this is complicated.... it serves as damage for archidon style but with multiple arrows(no fire) and to tank damage but its true purpose is to spawn a (random)swordwrath spearton or archidon every so often LIKE A MOBILE TOWER SPAWN AND U CAN GARRISON INJURED UNITS INSIDE(which also raises its attack power at cost of defensive power)NOTE slightly heals hp of garrisoned units LIKE A MOBILE CASTLE REQUIREMENTS must have a archidon spearton miner albowtross AND swordwrath garrisoned inside castle once built they r free BUT consumed so like sacrifice also only 1 allowed
