Quote from ExilementA lot of fat-free products are higher in sugar or calories than the regular product. He didn't say "whole milk has less fat than skim milk", and whole milk isn't even unhealthy.
if you're going to post just to belittle someone instead of contributing to the discussion, at least understand what the fuck you're talking about.
One gram of fat is about 9 calories you need to burn.
One gram of sugar is about 3-4 calories you need to burn.
But I understand your point. removing the fat and replacing it with the same amount of calories in sugar won't make it any more healthy.
And Exilement, Raptor, sorry for upsetting you guys, won't happen again :3

So obviously a product with lesser fat is more healthy because it contains less calories.
And yes I was being sarcastic.
Soda is terrible for you, you can lose weight by simply stopping to drink them
Diet Soda is actually worse than normal soda, it can actually cause weight gain and alot more health problems then soda.

damnit I was going to delete that, well busted...
yeah that's the main reason I only drink water and beer.

You know what gets you an infraction? Posting off topic in a thread. Oh my God you don't say?
Whoa You're doing too much math dood. Why would you drink milk? Invest in a multi-vitamin for guys and don't consume dead calories. A cup of 2% milk has too many calories in it. If you drink three a day you might as well enjoy a can of Dr. Pepper instead. If you're stomach is showing a 4-pack then your diet has to be on point. That's like 7% body fat, which I don't know why anyone would want that. I like to eat too much to want to get down to 7% body fat. You should come do what I have to do one day :P
Nah dood. Splooge.
Yeah I ate Taco Bell a few nights while at work and since I have to keep a food log for my trainer he flipped shit and made me carry 150lbs around the gym yelling "No more fast food" lol. Don't eat fast food. It's nothing but processed food filled with preservatives and drowned in grease. One McDouble from Wack Arnolds is like 350 calories. Seriously what the fuck.
Yeah vegatables are fine and all, but you can't eat too many regular white potatoes or corn, because they're starches you might as well eat a slice of chocolate pie.
I'll reference back at the top. I'm in a good mood, but I can still hand out infractions :/
Quote from Rochedan1. Stop eating fat product. 1 gram of fat is 15 calories that you need to burn.
2. Start working out. At least 3 days a week in training sessions of at least one hour. The best exercises are a combination of cardio and weight training. Weight training will convert the fat you have into muscles, you will look better but your weight won't drop. (muscles are heavier than fat). and cardio will only burn fat, but keep in mind, with cardio you need to train 30 minutes before your body actually turns to burning the excessive fat!
3. Stop drinking soda and stick to drinking milk and water.
4. Profit!
I used to do only weight training thrice a week, and in total I gained about 10 kilograms! But I didn't look fat, I only became more muscular. While it is hard to get some sort of a six-pack (which I want) when only doing weight training, I started thinking about the best way to lose fat and train muscles. now I'm doing these intense 30-min kickbox workouts where I need to constantly do combinations or push-ups and sit-ups. I've been doing this for over half a year or so and I feel a lot more confident about myself and my stomach is already showing a 4-pack!
There is one downpoint to these kind of workouts. If you want them to work you HAVE to diet. I try to just eat less fat and drink water.

Quote from FusionThis is one of the most important points if you are really serious about losing weight. Becoming healthy isn't something you can just work for for a couple months and then you can stop and then you'll stay all nice-lookin'. You have to do it forever.
PS: I think you meant splurge, Arch ;)
Nah dood. Splooge.
Quote from MolgeraDon't eat at McDonald's.

Quote from RaptorAlso, products that have tags like "less fat" or "no calories" typically tend to be even more unhealthy than the original product.
I read a book called Eat Food, Mostly Vegetables, and they said that was the ideal diet to have. Vegetables is self-explanatory, but the "Eat Food" part refers to avoiding things like processed foods that, with technicality, aren't really foods.

Quote from JomboGenerally if you want to cut you should eat less than 14 times your body weight in calories. So if you weigh 100lbs you should eat less than 1400 calories (just keeping the math simple, nobody who weighs 100lbs should ever cut). And also do a lot of cardio exercises.
Read this, it's good.

Swimming is great cardio
Cutting Soda out of your diet really helps, b/c its basically sugar water
Processed foods are bad m'kay, but as long as you avoid the greasy stuff to often you'll be fine
Also, Oversleeping and Undersleeping as well as stress considerably affect metabolism and weight loss. Get an adequate amount of sleep, starving your self is can actually cause weight gain as well.

Well think about it like this. Your muscles need protein to heal and grow. Since humans are animals meant to go out and hunt for food our bodies act like any other animals. So if we're lazy and sit around without using our muscles then that's our way of telling our bodies that we have to get ready for hibernation. So when you begin to exercise and work out, the best thing to do is to get 2 grams of protein for every pound of body fat that way your body gets what it needs and doesn't feel the need to hold onto the extra weight that it's been "storing".
Quote from MolgeraLol ikr.
If you need something to eat and doesn't give you a shitload of calories, you should go to Chick-fil-a. They have chicken sandwiches, salads, and all the good stuff.
Yeah post some dumb shit again and I'll show you to the fucking door.

It's already been mentioned, but drink more water. I will add, however, that cold or tap water goes straight through you and barely hydrates you at all. You want to drink spring water if possible, for the extra nutrients, and have it warm or hot. this way your body will absorb it better, and it will actually be useful to your body.
tip: get into the habit of drinking noncaffeinated tea; a tea like red bush tea aka rooibos, for example. chai is good in winter. green tea is caffeinated, you don't want too much of that.

Cracker Barrel or an Italian restaurant isn't fast food and I wouldn't recommend eating there either if you're trying to lose weight. If you think for any reason you can justify eating at chic fil a when you're trying to lose weight you have to be obese as fuck.

Ironically, I'm not fat at all. I'm very wimpy.

Chick-fil-a is actually not as bad as othe places b/c they use better quality ingredients and chicken is better than red meat. If you can't get rid of fast food its a good substitute
Its also really damn expensive for fast food, even in Texas and everything is cheap here
stay away from there drinks though, there lemonade actually has more sugar content then actual sugar. Its as though they liquefied sugar, condensed it, then liquefied it again.

Yes, it is just as bad. For Example:
Chick-Fil-Hate Deluxe Chicken Sandwich: 500 calories; 23 g fat; 1510 mg sodium; 70 mg cholesterol
-Fries: 400 calories; 21 g fat; 180 mg sodium; no cholesterol
Mickey D's Premium Crispy Chicken Sandwich: 510 calories; 22 g fat; 990 g sodium; 45 mg cholesterol
-Fries (Medium): 380 calories; 19g fat; 270 mg sodium; no cholesterol
I took the Mickey D's numbers off of a non-affiliated website, but the company actually is legitimately concerned about trying to make their food marginally less gross, and they make the numbers publicly available so I don't see why these numbers would be made up. The CFH ones were taken off of the company website.
