Edward woke up. He didn't know where he was. He opened his eyes fully and looked around. He was in a white room with lots of machinery. Edward tried to sit up, but he felt too tired and in pain. He looked down and saw that his arms and legs were 'cuffed to a bed. There was some needle thing in his arm that seemed to be putting a fluid in him. He took a moment to think and realized that he was in a hospital. How he had gotten here, was all a blur. Edward tried to get himself out of the restraints, but he was stuck. Edward tried to speak, but his mouth was dry and he paused there. How long had he been out? He didn't know that either. He coughed a few times. Someone rushed in the room. It was a female nurse, about 5'8, thin and with brown hair. She rushed beside him.
"You're awake!" She said. "Officer, you can come in now!"
A man walked in the room. He was tall and muscular. He wore a police vest with a big bade on it. He actually intimidated Edward.
"Hi there, convict." He said. "You've been out for a long time. Now that you're awake, we're taking you into custody, and soon jail. How's that sound, hot shot?"
Edward managed to speak. "Fuck... you" he said quietly.
"Well, aren't you happy when you wake up from a coma! You probably don't remember what you did, but let me run it over for you." He said, removing his shades and placing them on a desk. "You got in a bar brawl because you weren't supposed to be there, then you fought some cops, including me, and you even killed two of them. Remember any of that?"
"No, but you should have been one of the cops I killed." Edward coughed after he said this.
The cop laughed. "Well, I was the one to hit you in the back of the head and put you in this coma. Now, how about that jail?"
Edward was silent. He had always gotten away with his crimes. Why would he be caught now. He figured that this was the end to his normal life, and the beginning of a new life. That new life involved so jail time, though, unfortunately.
In a day, they had Edward moved out of the hospital and into a cop car. He was on his way to the nearest prison. He would have to serve thirty years in prison, with no bail.
#He won't be in jail for that long, trust me. "Things" are going to happen to help him. Feel free to have the other characters know that he is awake by seeing it in a newspaper or something#
