How the heck do you counter a spearton masser?!

Mages.

Simple magikill and walls, with a hint of scouts to give you knowledge of the oncoming slaughter, if this man your facing is a true blue spearton masser then he would rush to your base, if you don't like mages then go with swordwrath with rage along with castle archers. IF you don't like swordwrath then I suggest simple giants and albowtross standing at home behind walls. 2 giants is good enough with an albowtrossian army helping. (But make sure you have blazing bolts)

With simple micro can turn those bombers into nothing but wasted money, so this strategy for counter spearton rush is ineffective unless you got a non micro managed enemy.

For chaos I believe a better strategy to beat them with a couple medusa's and marrowkai with hell fists, and while at the same giants at the statue to keep them at bay. Chaos does not have an effective defense in a situation Order may thrive in but it is possible for chaos to defeat a spearton rush without the need of bomber mass. BUT I don't see why chaos would have a problem with spearton rushers when they have some of the strongest units in the game. (NOTE I said SOME of the strongest units, the rest go to Order like the swordwrath and the enslaved giant)

can't you garison 18 bombers, buy statue health, and when the spearton masser attacks statue, bombers come out?

Or just really good micro and splitting. But yeah I completely forgot about shield wall, What then. 40% of the bombers damage is not even dealt with each bomber, and they don't deal a very good amount of damage (4 bombers I believe can kill one swordwrath, but then again 1 bomber can kill a group of archidon instantly if the player is not careful, I do believe it takes at least 10 bombers to kill a non shield wall'd spearton)

It actually takes 20+ bombers to kill a group of spears.

Use swordwraths with rage+mass albowtross with statue health with walls and CAs
no speartons can stand :)
