Your case is different Nikx. I've seen your stuff. Many times. Ditching me was more of a playful jab than anything. I understood that you just didnt want to write anymore at the time and I know in the best of conditions you were good for it. Ai has never given me a thing in all my times I've asked him of things even if it was a simple snippet or a short tale. He's consistently failed to deliver anything so I'm just applying the Golden Rule and not giving him any quarter.

It is okay to ask for them. You were just asking too much and abusing my generosity

=| Okay that's enough already.
In other news, 2½ weeks is a long time, but I guess the requested type of C&C demands for it. It also occurs to me that I have yet to read the earlier ones =o I'll be on that after getting to the winner's bracket stuff I promised.

Lesson: accept other's generousity with gratitude. But try not to abuse it. You'll be fucked. And insulted. And that kinda $hit.

Reading speed varies. But there're weekends, right? So why not read then? (Obvious, but yeah)

Once Upon A Time
Once upon a time there existed a wondrous forgotten forest, it is here that our tale takes place. It’s a magical place where you can find all sorts of wildlife; there’s monkeys and tigers and horses and deer and giraffes and so many other amazing creatures; why you can even find a rhinoceros if you look hard enough. In this magical forest all the creatures live together and spend their days laughing with one another and playing games.
We start our adventure with a little girl named Haku, a brave 8 year old who keeps watch over our forest. She is kind and gentle and loves all of the creatures that live in our forest; she has brown hair, wears a very pretty blue skirt, has a lovely white shirt with white flowers on it, a tiny blue backpack that holds her toys, and carries a small wooden sword that she uses to protect her friends. She spends her days playing and watching over the animals and you can always find her smiling and laughing with her very best companion Catbug, an adorable little blue bug with tiny kitty feet and a ladybug shell on his back. Together the two of them explore their forest making sure that everyone is happy and excited and friendly with one another. When the monkeys start playing too rough with their tiger friends, or the deer and horses argue over a grazing path, Haku and Catbug show up to make sure everyone stays happy by creating a brand new game for everyone to play, or by finding a spot bigger spot where the deer and horses can graze together. Life in this magical place was always very peaceful, until the day a small boy named Dominic arrived.
Such a Sad Little Boy
Dominic was much smaller than your regular boy: to little Haku, littler Dominic would barely reach her chin, even though he was a year older than Haku! He had black hair, wore a nice pair of dark blue shorts and wore a green sweater that was far too big for him; the sweater almost reached to his knees and the sleeves were so long that they dragged on the ground when he walked.
One day, Haku and Catbug noticed something strange in the forest. There were loud noises coming from where the lions lived, so Haku and Catbug went to see what had happened. When they arrived the lions were roaring angrily at each other; they were all fighting and yelling at one another. They were so loud that Haku wasn’t able to be heard over them. In order to get their attention, Haku lifted her hands in the air and focused on the wind around her. (You see, Haku had a few amazing gifts, and one of them was an ability to control the air.)[/I] She spun the air around the lions, blowing a calming wind into the lions that snapped them out of their anger. After the roaring had stopped, young Haku approached the head lion, Simba, who you could easily tell from the others thanks to his large mane.
“Simba, what happened here?” Haku asked.
With a very confusing look on his face Simba responded, “What do you mean Miss Haku?”
“You were all very angry with one another just now, everyone in your herd started screaming and shouting, it seemed like you were about to really hurt each other.”
“Why would you do that?” Catbug said sadly
“Really? But...I don’t remember such a thing. We were all just watching over our cubs while they played with a new friend. We were happy to welcome this stranger into our home to play.”
“New friend? Where is he?” Haku said.
“Why he’s right...over…there!” Simba pointed towards where the cubs were playing, but something was wrong, “Oh no! What happened to our cubs?” Simba said with such worry.
The little cubs were lying so still, as if they were in a very deep sleep, like something had bonked them on the head and they passed out. As Simba approached the cubs he noticed something very odd in the middle of them. It was our little friend Dominic. Simba picked him up in his mouth and brought him to Haku.
“What happened to him?” Haku said surprised. It seemed as if little Dominic had bruises on his face and scars on his legs, he had been badly hurt.
Haku rested her hands over Dominic and closed her eyes tight.
“I’ll go get something to help!” Little Catbug exclaimed as he flew away.
Haku’s hands started to glow green and in a few moments the cuts and bruises on Dominic started to disappear; Haku was healing him.
A few moments after she healed Dominic, he started to moan as he slowly opened his eyes. The first thing little Dominic saw was a very pretty girl kneeling above him. Dominic’s cheeks turned red as he sprang up!
“Who-who are you? Please don’t hurt me. I didn’t mean to it.” the little boy spoke frantically. “I-It was an accident. I’m sorry. I’m just lost and I can’t...can’t…” Dominic lowered his head and his voice started to sound very sad, “I can’t...find...my home…” A little tear started to fall down Dominic’s cheek as he said this.
The little boy looked back at Haku and wiped the tear away with his sleeve. “I’ll go now.” Dominic said as he stood up to walk away.
“Wait.” Haku shouted, “Who are you?”
“D-...Dominic.”
“I’m Haku. Where are you from?” she asked softly
“I don’t know…” Dominic replied
“What do you mean? Where do you live? How did you get here?”
“I was just walking around until I came across this forest.” Dominic had decided not to answer her first question.
Just then, Catbug came flying back holding a tiny bowl of green things.
“Sugar peas!” He screamed as he handed the bowl to Haku. “Here, you need to get your strength back, Haku.”
“Thank you Catbug.” Haku replied as she ate some of the sugar peas.
“Who is that?” asked Dominic.
“This is my best friend Catbug. He and I live together here in the forest and we protect the animals here. Making sure everyone stays happy.”
“That’s...nice” Dominic said with a smile, “It’s nice to meet you, Catbug.”
“It’s nice to meet you too,” Catbug said happily, “We’re friends now. We’re gunna have soft tacos later.”
Haku chuckled when she heard Catbug say this, which lead Dominic to laugh a little as well.
“Ahem!” Simba exclaimed in order to get everyone’s attention. He had been standing behind Dominic the whole time and was watching the children’s interaction.
Dominic turned around to see what had made the noise, and when he saw it was a massive lion (Massive when compared to the small Dominic) he was very frightened.
“No don’t hurt me again!” Dominic screamed as he pressed his sleeves to the ground and leaped away into a nearby tree.
Seeing such an incredible and quick jump the three of them (Simba, Haku, and Catbug) looked in awe as Dominic vanished before them.
Haku was caught so off guard that she wasn’t able to call Dominic back in time, and before she could tell Catbug to fly up into the tree she knew Dominic was gone.
“Why did you scare him away?” Haku yelled to Simba
“I wasn’t trying to. I just wanted to know what he knew about our little...episode from earlier.” Simba responded.
Haku had almost forgotten about that while she was meeting Dominic. Now that she remembered, she started to ask all the other lions what they knew about the event. But after hours of talking to everyone, all Haku and Catbug could figure out was that after Dominic started playing tag with the cubs for a few minutes, the cubs started to get really hyper and rough with the little boy. They couldn’t seem to settle down and wound up hurting Dominic Soon after that, all the lions could remember was hearing a loud cry before they all went screaming mad.
“Hmm…” Haku said aloud, “what made the cubbies so energetic? And what caused the scream before the lions started roaring? Was it Dominic?” Although the idea that Dominic could do such a thing was so strange, Haku could tell he was a very nice and friendly boy, even if he was a little sad.
Tree Houses are Pretty Cool
“Hakuuuuuuu!” Catbug said, “I’m getting sleepy. Can we go home now?”
Haku smiled at Catbug, “sure, but you still have to take a bath before bed though.” Haku reached into her backpack and pulled out a big green plastic toy. She aimed it towards the sky, fired it, and out came a firework. When the firework went off it exploded into several colors as the word “Bath Time!” was spelled out in the sky. Haku put her toy away, picked up Catbug, and said her goodbyes to the friendly lions and cubs. Haku closed her eyes tight, and leapt high into the air and over the trees. She started to glide very gently towards her tree house home.
When she arrived, she landed on the front walkway and opened the door.
“Beemo! We’re home!” Haku yelled into her home.
A small little green machine came walking into the front room (he looked like an old bulky gameboy with arms and legs). “Oh good.” Beemo said, “the bath is all ready.”
Haku placed Catbug on Beemo’s head adn the two of them laughed as they made their way to the bath.
Haku couldn’t help but think about little Dominic the whole night. “Who is he? Where did he come from? How was he able to jump so high? Did he have powers like herself? Where did he get them?"[/I] Haku fell asleep that night as she came up with all these questions.
Haku woke up the next morning to the smell of bacon and eggs.
“Breakfast is ready!” Beemo said as he tried to wake Haku up. “Get it while it’s hot!”
“Breakfast!” Catbug yelled happily as he made his way down to the kitchen.
Haku slowly woke up and changed out of her lemur pajamas and into her regular clothes. She tied her hair up and walked down into the kitchen,
“Good Morning, guys.” She said to Catbug and Beemo as she sat down and they all ate breakfast.
A few minutes into eating their breakfast however, Haku could hear a large number of screams drawing closer and closer to their home. Haku stuck her head out the window and watched as a few little black dots in the distance started to come into shape. It seemed like the monkeys were chasing someone through the trees. As they got closer and closer Haku’s eyes widened as she noticed a familiar person. It was Dominic! He was using his sleeves to swing away from the screeching monkeys. Haku could see tears in his eyes as he swung past the window.
“Oh no!” she cried “Catbug we have to go.”
“Okay!” Catbug said happily as he and Haku took flight towards Dominic.
“Be careful!” Beemo shouted after them.
Wow! That Guy is so Cool!
“Ha ha! These monkeys smell like doody!” Catbug exclaimed as they flew in between the monkeys closer to Dominic.
“Catbug be serious! He needs our help!” Haku shouted.
Haku and Catbug were getting closer and closer to Dominic. What is going on? Haku thought to herself. Just then she noticed one of the monkeys swing and kick Catbug out of the air!
“Hey!” Haku said angrily as she caught Catbug. She pulled out her wooden sword and whacked the monkey that hit Catbug on the head. The monkey fell below to a nearby branch and stopped chasing Dominic. Haku noticed this and thought to herself This is how I can stop them! She flew up to each monkey and started to whack them on the head. Each one of them stopped chasing Dominic after they were bonked. Haku started to grin as she was about to whack what she thought was the last monkey, but before she could hit him another monkey swung from behind Haku and kicked the top of her head. Ow! Haku hit a branch and was knocked out! She started to fall to the ground.
“Haku! Wake up, Haku!” Catbug screamed as he struggled to pull both of them up with his wings, but they continued falling. “Ahhhhhhh!!!” Catbug started to scream as they came closer to the ground.
But just before they hit the ground, Haku’s sword started to glow green. Her hair started turning black, she grew a little taller, her skirt turned into jeans, her shirt lost its flowers and grew bigger to fit the changing Haku, a gray coat started to appear over the shirt, and small horns started to grow from Haku’s head!
Haku and Catbug suddenly stopped falling, and Catbug stopped screaming. He looked at the new Haku and smiled big as they floated in mid air.
“Yay!!! It’s MISTER HAKU!” (That’s right; Haku turned into a boy!)[/I]
“Hey there Catbug.” the new Haku said to Catbug “Sorry about scaring you like that. Now let’s go save Dominic.” he said with such a heroic voice.
Mr. Haku could barely see the last two monkeys chasing Dominic, but he smiled and focused hard. In a blink of an eye, Mr. Haku flew at such an amazing speeds. He zoomed past the branches! (Woosh! He was like Superman!)
When he caught up to the two monkeys he whacked them on the head! The monkeys stopped chasing Dominic, but the little boy hadn’t realized this and was still swinging away. Mr. Haku flew up behind Dominic and grabbed the back of his sweater. He stopped Dominic from swinging and flew them both to the ground. When he landed he turned the little crying boy around and hugged him tightly in his arms.
“Shhhh...hey c’mon. It’s ok now. The bad ol’ monkeys aren't chasing you anymore. You can stop crying.” Mr. Haku said softly as he lifted Dominic’s face towards his own with a smile.
Dominic stopped crying as he wiped the tears (and boogies) away from his face. He looked at the strange man and noticed the horns on his head. He reached up with his snot covered sleeve to touch them. But as he did Mr.Haku pulled him away and started chuckling, “Hey now. We got to clean you up first.”
“O-okay.” Dominic said to the strange boy. He didn’t know why but Dominic felt like he could trust this person; he seemed so strong and very friendly.
“Here. I’ll take you home.” Mr. Haku said
“But-but I don’t have a home” Dominic replied, still sniffing the tears away.
“Tonight you’ll stay at our home. Is that okay?” Mr. Haku said as he started to lift the two into the air. “Let’s go, Catbug.”
“We’re eating soft tacos!” Catbug said happily as he followed the two home.
Mr. Haku and Dominic talked about what had happened on the way home. Dominic had fallen asleep last night after the lion incident, but he hadn't realized he fell asleep in the monkey's territory till he woke up that morning. Dominic said that when he awoke, that morning all of the monkeys were staring at him. And before he could say or do anything, one of the monkeys threw a banana at his head and started to scream angrily. Soon all of the monkeys became angry, and Dominic started to run away from them before they could hurt him. Mr. Haku couldn’t believe the story, he knew the monkeys played rough from time to time but they were some of the nicest creatures in the forest. A few would even help Haku keep the peace in the forest and solve problems most the time. Mr. Haku was thoroughly confused.

Dude, I just read through your piece of work and I have to say I couldn't be more pleased with the way it turned out. *Slow clap*
TBH, out of the one's that I've read so far, I like yours the best because I liked the flow of the story and how easy it was for me to read through it. I can't exactly say why it was so easy for me to read, but that's what I like most about because it allowed me to focus on the story you wanted to portray. I also loved the fact of how to took her backstory and gave it a little twist, good on ya. *high five*
Overall, I'd say your story right now is pretty top notch~! :]

In other news, 2½ weeks is a long time, but I guess the requested type of C&C demands for it. It also occurs to me that I have yet to read the earlier ones =o I'll be on that after getting to the winner's bracket stuff I promised.
Fine fine whatever I'm sorry. I was just really stressed at that point and you were just a contributing factor and just happened to be in the crossfire. Forgive me for assuming that you're just whining about something and not producing anything I mean even Canis at least put something out. You deleted a story because it wasn't to your liking or is it because other's opinions mattered in the drafting stages of your work? I guess it matters less now.
Anyways a preview: While we're waiting for rankings and shit, just wanna say that I hope you love Ocean's Eleven and Reservoir Dogs because the next Round is gonna be a Heist and a Standoff.

Quote from GamerXD8I'm working my butt of now! Making steady progress... And BirtDog. (Almost said Catbug. *gasp* BirtDog is Catbug's counterpart!)
O.O .....I....I am!!!
Quote from Mecha-HewittToo lazy to dissect. I'll answer it in order:
- I was turning a blind eye on purpose because I was actually being lenient. Had I shut down the entries on the day itself ya'll would be pissed.
- BirtDog gets a clean pass because he also doubled as a benched entry over at the winner's bracket. I know he's good for it.
I owe you a the sincerest of thank you's and apologies. You have been EXTREMELY nice and respectful of me when (in my eyes) I gave you nothing but ambiguous and untrustworthy statements (they weren't untrustworthy, but for some random guy on the internet they could've meant nothing). You and a handful of others stood up for me when I wasn't here and I thank the rest of you for that as well. This site is home to some of the nicest people I've met. Thanks to all of you for your generosity (b^__^)b
Quote from BoomerangReturnsLobo's took me like twenty minutes tops to read.
Oh, and Birt told me to tell you whether you were a man, woman or hermaphrodite, he would propose to you. Basically he says thanks.
No. What I basically said was "will you marry me?". Sad news about that though, you'll have to be ok with polygamy =/

I had one of those "revelation/cathartic" moments somewhere before dreams, and I forgot to put in SO MUCH interaction at the dinner table because I was caught up in my mind lol (i left out Jellykid D= ). Made the ending seem too...quick(?) in my eyes so I was a little ashamed about that. And I hope I stayed true to your character throughout it all. That's my biggest issue when I read others' writings: that they stay true to the writers; it's like a sign of respect, you know? I let her have free flying ability because I figured "why not? no one is fighting"
I suppose it's easier to read because I really tried to write this for like...kids to read. I went back and turned several single words into like 3 or 4, just to make it easier to read lol. I did get kinda...mature/dark-ish towards the end, but that's because I could hear myself reading this, and I wanted people to cry when they heard it being narrated. I imagined myself reading this to kids when i was writing it; i put myself in a room with a chair i barely fit in and read it to others (in my mind). really wish I made that chair bigger too; hurt my buttocks something fierce.

Watched all the "Ocean's" 13 times each (just so I could use that pun, I swear), Italian Job 8 times, Reservoir Dogs 3, and countless others. 4 of those Ocean's marathons (each) were earlier this year. You bet your ass I love Heist movies.
And I shared an interesting interaction with Night over hearing this news a few days ago:
"Night: dude. Hewitt said he hopes we like Ocean's Eleven and Reservoir Dogs because the next round of the Loser's will be like a heist
*silence*
Me: Oh my god!
*sudden burst of a "bro-ment":cheers and high fives*
Me (in the middle of cheers): How the hell am I going to get through a heist!!!! [with Dominic lol]
*immediate laughter*

For teh record you didn't just give me ambiguous statements. You gave AN ENTRY in the winner's bracket.
Had you faltered on that end, I would have tossed you aside as well :I

Moral of the story: Hewitt is a merciless robot who destroys all who disappoint him.
Stay safe people.
