That's not a childhood story but it's kid friendly.

When Hewitt said it could be a different competition like a race, the light bulb went off in my head.

Heh, you had a similar idea to mine, except it's in Sonic Racers and someone sabotages the race so the two rivals must work together to defeat him in a completely non-violent MOSTLY verbal way.

Don't spoil your work XJ. The more you keep your work a secret, the better it is for those who read it upon the first time. ;]

Answering your questions in reverse order:

Quote from BirtDog
And I don't know if this is obvious or not, but can I make the characters young? Iike 4-8 year olds? Maybe get a little cuteness on this piece?
(More questions when I get home, btw)

Yes.

Quote from Shadowkirby
Mecha-Hewitt, I have a major question:

How can I make a "children's story" if I have a emotionless zombie with a missing eye and a touch of death? How can I bring him to a Y7+ level if he's pretty much intimidating for the kids? I feel that this theme might be a bit hard on a character mostly based on really dark stuff, including his tragic background.

This is also addressed to XJCLW. Just because your character appears to be the worst thing ever, doesn't mean you can't explain it to children. They don't have to know everything about your character and you can easily downplay the violent aspects of the work. For example, kids generally know that when you die you goto heaven. They don't need to know the intricacies of pain or existentialism. They just know that dying = eyes closed then ray of light and angels. This can work in the same way for you. Just imagine a little girl meets Todesberuhung and asks him what he does and why. What would he say? What would he butter up to make her understand that premise.

I hope I helped ^_^

XJCLW. You should leave. (:

ILU.

But seriously.

You can still participate as a new entrant. Just let me know within the next 3 days.

Quote from Nikx232
Is Birtdog just playing as his character?
I understand he was subbing for someone.

He is participating in both. That was his choice.

Quote from BoomerangReturns
Question, Hewitt, can you like make it so you transition into multiple storybooks?

Also, can you do like looney tunes violence?

Yes. And Yes. Kids know that if an anvil falls on your head you get hurt. But they don't know that your organs squish and explode into a bloody pulp and die.

Quote from Chamel
Would I still get to participate in Round Two? :D
If so, then very much yes ._.

Let us wait out the period for acknowledgement first (4 days). If not everyone has come forward then it's open season for you.

Quote from BoomerangReturns
Oh, question, since the win doesn't count as a win, would the loss still count as a loss?

What. No. Did I answer your question correctly? Winning/Losing here doesn't count for the Hall of Warriors.

Quote from Nikx232
2. @Hewitt and Lobo: You guys did harass him on his RP out of spite, and that was your biggest fault guys. (Come on, we're more mature than that)

WE'RE NOT CHILDREN! Stop the immature mudslinging guys. :(

I like how one sarcastic outburst suddenly justifies what kind of person I ultimately am. Immature. I know we have a one-year gap between us but realize that I am not the kind of person to stoop to such tactics that is quite against my character. Perhaps if you were here the whole time you would know that (not taking a jab at your sudden hiatus).

Ante's Below:

GamerXD8 (Easy) - Begin your story with a sunrise. End it with a sunset.

BoomerangReturns (Hard) - You are now writing a story for the blind (it may or may not include a blind character). Describe at least 3 colors in your story in a way that will make the blind know what it is without having to see it.

Codincx (Easy) - Include a damsel in distress in your story.

Tantalum (Medium) - Incorporate a Guardian to either of your characters throughout the story. By the end, this Guardian must leave/die.

merich1 (Medium) - Both of your characters are now animals. Actual animals and not anthromorphs (animal-people). They still retain the qualities and powers of your and the opponent's wRHG though.

Canis Majoris (Medium) - Incorporate a Mystery into your story that deals with an underground chamber and ghosts. The Mystery must be solved in the end.

Nikx232 (Hard) - Remember when I said you couldn't introduce edgy violent themes? In this Hard Ante, you must introduce at least one and justify it. To reiterate these themes are drugs/alcohol/violence/non-consensual sex/etc.

digkid (Hard) - Include a Modern twist to an age old idea. Like recent disney fairy tales like Tangled and Frog Prince.

BirtDog (Medium) - As the Narrator of your story, you must break the 4th wall and address the reader throughout your entire telling.

By the by guys, I only mentioned that ONLY this round would not count for pts in the Hall of Warriors because I didn't think this idea would fly but I'm quite relieved most of you enjoy it. I want to ask if it's okay with you, for me to make the succeeding rounds in this bracket like this---alternative breaks from actual fighting. I'll put up a poll in this thread for you guys to gauge interest. Will also update my first post later.

I just recieved a PM from GuardianTempest. To my understanding it appears that he is dropping from the competition because of sickness. He might not be able to remake/redo his character in time so he's out if that happens. That means the intended threeway is now officially just a two-way.

Also, I'm getting some late signups for Reap4u and TyTheGamerGuy. If those two go through with it then they will face each other in this Round.

Those will be the last signups available.

Then I guess it's a little late to sign up. But, if not, here's my information:

Competitor: I don't care who, and don't know who is available. Please assign one when available.

It... kinda helped. Well, I must somehow make him more child-friendly to win this round, but the toughest part about it is that I'm use to writing dark stuff, and doing children's story might throw me off. I guess I'll try my best at it, but another question.

Can it be canonical to the wRHG, or will this round be non-canon since it'll be a children's story?

Oh, and I wager an Easy Ante.

You're not doing Tantalum's ante. You need to state your own ante (if you wish to have one) which you'd like to wage for to get more points. And since Tant's got the medium ante your choices are either Easy or Hard. That is, if you wish to have an ante in this round.

It's up to you ^^

Sorry I must've overlooked you.

Here we go:

Shadowkirby (Easy) - Have at least 1 talking object in your story.

XJCLW (Hard) - The same as Boomerang's Ante, really. Except it's for sounds. Describe at least 3 Sounds in your story in a way that if a deaf person read your story he would know what it sounded like.

So, Hewitt, not to bug you or anything, but can I still join? My info is on page 7, if you choose to accept me.

Okay Hewitt, i kinda don't get what you mean. Do I just describe three colors as if I was talking to a blind person and then that's it?
