Get at least 1 miner first. This only works on really short maps, and even then, with the abundance of aggressive turtles, it's hard to get this strategy to be 100% instakill.
On long maps, if you use this, you're either really good or really dead.

No...if you can win using this strategy your opponent is an idiot (unless it's Chaos, then swordspam, maybe. But looks like this guy is just talking about a out-right rush no matter what.)
4 swords opening...opponent goes sword/archer on short map (standard opening)...gg'd.
4 swords opening...opponent goes say, 2 miner/sword on medium map (fairly decent opening on this.)...more miners = churns out more swords.
Long map...don't even try this. Just don't. Grass hills KO.
Unless you're like, in 1200s, 1300s, maybe 1400s (I've seen them go all miners on castle), don't do this...

Remember me telling you that thing the other day? About 4 swords into 5 swords and how it'd show up on SP forums? ...Yeah...

Damn, what's with all these troll topics in the strategy section? They're not even funny anymore. They're just getting repetitive. If y'all wanna be funny, come up with something more original than a bad strategy.
Now you might want my explanation for this, so here. Archer sword would come out faster and own you. Once they get to your castle, they just keep attacking your miners, while they slowly build up their economy and army. Thus, you lose. This would only work on those noobs in the 1300s who go for like 3 miners or something stupid like that.
On grass hills, oh that's even worse. I go one archer and one miner and I'll just kite you until you die. My first gold goes to a sword which makes it even harder once I kill one or two of your swords.

Actually, it works with a 100% success rate up to the 1600s as long as you're on a short map and your opponent uses a different start. That's how I got to the 1700s before I hit a wall. It's just swordwrath rage start; you save your swords at your castle until the sword-archer comes attacking, then you attack (and if your enemy is dumb, even kill) the archer. If done well, you'd have 1 more miner and will have lost 1 sword to stop an enemy attack. They will then garrison their troops while you get the superior army since you have the superior economy.

Really? Pure swordwrath spam? No miners? I doubt that. EDIT: Maybe not, 1600s are pretty bad...
Short maps: sword + archer runs you to the ground.
Long maps: opponent starts 2 swords 1 miner. You'd be wrong to assume that since he's getting a miner, he has less swords. He staggers queueing of miners against constant queueing of swords, which means that he'll always have a continuous stream of swords coming at you, just like you have a continuous stream of swords coming at him. So it's easy for him to break even. But then, his staggered macro gives him a miner advantage over you, leading to a military advantage (note, I didn't say sword advantage, because as mentioned previously, the sword queue is already full to the max and there's no way to pump out swords faster. However, the surplus gold that he has can easily be used to build archers or any other unit not in the swordwrath/spearton/shadowrath queue).

I absolutely hate it when people don't read my posts, then ridicule them.
I said, one miner, two swords. 3 miners can sustain a continuous stream of swords.
Here's how it worked for me. First miner comes out, set it on gold with the other two. First sword comes out, standby behind the statue. Wait for the second sword, then attack. Attack the archer, force them to run. You will lose 1 sword while they kite you. They will proceed to garrison the archer. Keep spamming swords (sword archer=2 miners as opposed to your 3) and you will have the better army as well as economy, all in one minute.

I'm sorry I can't travel back in time and read your EDITS. My quote read "Actually, it works with a 100% success rate up to the 1600s as long as you're on a short map and your opponent uses a different start. That's how I got to the 1700s before I hit a wall.", and that is what I saw when I replied.

its really bad. castle archer only costs 300 gold, and this only works around 1200 to 1400.

Beat me to it. But really Mashal, I bet you're in the 1400s which is why this works so well.
