It depends on the strat. If it's not mana-reliant like spears+archers, then why not use the spare mana for it?

Wow how can you have 12 miners on gold when, you have no army at all. They are constantly pressuring, with tower spawn, many archers, sheild wall, even if you poisoned all my archers and built miner wall, i will also have magikill, and, if you're wandering how i get that many miners when you come to my base, I'll tell you what you did wrong. If you send all miners to attack swordwrath, their gonna kite your miners. Even if you send only some, your losing out that some miners mining. So if you do this, you'll lose 2 miners. Either you're gonna get a castle archer, or get some units. The worst option will be getting units, cuz their army is obviously bigger than 3 swords. So when you get castle archer, you'll lose the gold all your miners mine for that number of seconds you garrisoned.

So, by now, estimated, you will have 1 to 2 more miners more than him, while he has much more army than you.

Uh...You CAN start the battle with SW and archer and ect. Also, you can build SW mixing with miners. I never said to build only miners. It's a miner's tips thread, not a macro instructing thread.

I usually get hustle when I have 8-12miners (Usually 10 though)

It depends more on timing. Enemy is pressuring, you got 10 miners. Bought Miner Hustle. Now you're lower in terms of army AND enemy is pressuring. Not good at all.
